Blah blah blah.. Ok Captain America. I think that Ward outboxed Kessler, I just think all the dirty tactics were unecessary, and should NOT be applauded. Just like Froch's tactics shouldn't have been allowed EITHER.

What..we gonna complain about Dirrell being biased against and fouled, but let Ward do it to Kessler, just because the nationalities are switched around? Is that consistent at all? Nope.

As for a great night of boxing, this was nothing compared to what HBO has been offering lately. Its not Show Time, after all.

kessler was getting beat from the opening bell dont act like he showed dominance that was disrupted by butts, he never ever dominated. He was never in the fight and deserved to have his belt taken. When froch complained about holding he just hit dirrell in the clench, kessler has no inside game and his wild hooks were "unbefitting a champion". This may have been a bad version of kessler but it was kess and he was owned

The difference is Ward was landing big punches to Kesslers face including his jabs and right hands. Froch did almost nothing other than his fouls.

Ward outclassed him anyway, but the ref was horrendous. Ward was holding way too much. He deserved to lose a point after a while. He's similar to Hopkins in that he uses clinches as a defensive tactic. It spoils the fight.

Still Kessler had no hope. Ward put it on him.

                It doesn't matter...fouls are fouls.

Clinching is a part of the sport. John Ruiz has made a career out of it. Ricky Hatton did it to Kosta Tszyu. Heavyweights Lennox Lewis and Wlad Klitsko used or use it. Ali and Gene tunney used it......etc And Kessler did his share of clinching too. You can't take points away for clinching if the boxers break by the ref's command.

It does matter if you're trying to rewrite the fight as if only the headbutts won it for Ward. Kessler was getting hit by plenty of punches too. And those punches also caused damage to Kessler's face.

you were clearly blinded by being at the live event and being caught up in all the energy and nationalistic hoopla.

I however, sat calmly within the comfort of my own home, and stayed more objective. So, I am confident that my perception is the correct and unbiased one.
kessler's problem was he was too slow first but he demonstrated no ability to move his head. If as a human someone continues to foul me I will take measures to avoid the foul. He stood there while ward came in continually eating jabs, leads and a couple butts sure. He never adjusted never learned to take a step back and uppercut the leaning ward, never sliding his head left or right just choosing to stand there and complain. champions need to act like it and last night the champion did
