I read posts, Hopkins ducked calzaghe in is prime, Jones ducked calzaghe in his prime.

Whats Joe doing now, Joes ducking fighters who have every chance of beating him. Last night Andre ward made a name for himself, he looked awesome, Andre Dirrell proved hes a classy fighter against froch, Arthur Abraham is on top form. The super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions are good at the moment.
What kind of idiotic logic is this?!
So Eubank should also come out of retirement since the SMW division is good at the moment..
Damn, this place is full of ******s.

calzaghe wanted hopkins and jones to fight him when they were in their mid 30's but then when he hits his mid 30's he packs it in and retires while ducking all the best fighters around. amazing hypocrisy.

Yeah he retired at the point where thing were getting interesting. Froch wanted to fight him, BHop wanted a rematch and Dawson wanted a piece too. There is no legitimate reason why he didn't fight Hopkins again or he didn't fight Dawson to see who was the best light heavweight around.

there will always be that new young guy coming up who deserves a big fight with the old champion the problem is that if he keeps taking those fights he will retire when he is 80 years old with brain damage

a Hopkins rematch would have been stinking, maybe worse than the 1st fight, plus Hopkins is a nightmare to deal with, a rematch (if it was going to be spoken about) should have taken place in the UK, but Hopkins won't go for that.

As for Dawson, it was a few weeks ago posters were slating him for not being a huge draw i.e. no more money. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, Dawson is one of my favourites, but he lapses and takes breaks during fights, Calzaghe keeps a consistent trend all night long and is focused for the entire fight.

The light heavyweight division is **** anyway, and if Calzaghe had fought Dawson and won then the division would be in limbo at this very minute, in fact it pretty much is at this moment.

Plus even if Dawson did beat Calzaghe, where does he go then? He's too small for Crusierweight and would need to boil himself down to Super Middle.

are you for real man?!!! froch is the biggest waste of space this country has ever seen. bhop wanted a rematch? well of course he would,he just got beat by a white boy. hatton wants a rematch with mayweather, so that should happen JUST because he wants it??? no. dawson? dawson who? not in top ten p4p. nobody in the UK knows or gives a fcuk about dawson. the yanks rated hopkins at number 3! so he was the highest ranked, and the ring mag light heavyweight champ, and calzaghe beat him and outlanded him considerably. not to mention now calzaghe has retired, they still rate hopkins the highest above any other light heavy in the p4p rankings.
