WTF? If you know you ain't gonna win and not even gonna try to win, then quit already. Cotto looked foolish and embarrassed there, and people are getting blamed especially Santiago for the fight going too long. That mentality of making it to the final bell is all BS if you're talking about risking your health and God forbid life.

You let the corner/ref end the fight but no matter what pacquiao was going to do, he was not going to knock out cotto. Pac could've knocked him down 6-10 times but he can't knock out cotto. Also, if cotto would've quit, you guys would've been all over him. No matter what cotto would've done you guys would be killing him. If somehow he would've won by split decision, you still would've killed him.

There are boxing fans who appreciate boxing and EVERY opponent and there are haters. Many on boxingscene are BOXING FANS, there are few that are haters and we deal with it. It's not like we have a choice. I respect MANNY 150% and have nothing bad to say about manny.

Because Cotto was on his bike as early as the 7th, by the 10th he weren't fighting anymore. So PAC was stopping from time to time and looking at the ref to say what's the point? PAC was being nice, Roach said it himself during the fight. PAC was gonna get him out of there that's why the ref stopped it that soon. Roach and other Team Pacquiao members plead for the KO and PAC was putting all his bombs in that final round. The ref knows and realizes that PAC was gonna kill Cotto if he doesn't do something...

Kill? yes...knockout? NOPE !! I'll admit, cotto did not have anything past 10 rd but whether he was retreating or running, still not knocking him out. Why are we bitching about this? It's fact, pacquiao beat up cotto, not argueing that. He beat him and fight was stopped. Cotto did not quit or fight dirty or got knocked out. He lost by TKO and now that fight is in the past. It's like floyd vs marquez. Floyd knocked him down and marquez still had energy to keep fighting till end but we know marquez was also not getting knocked out.

Listen to me, Cotto was one big shot away from being a dead man. He was on his bike because he knew that. Now Miguel is nic and all and I wish he could come back. I think that night was the worst for Cotto being with an imbecile corner against a Manny Pacquiao.

Not saying it was 6-7 rds but it was more than 1 rd and cotto is smart enough to change his strategy. He fought mosley in a smart way and this is the same mosley who destroyed margarito. Don't get me wrong, pacquiao would've still won but cotto could've made it a decision, instead of fight being stopped. Hatton fought pacquiao wrong and so many other fighters. Marquez is only one to fight him right way and he should've gotten decision in 2nd fight but that's life.

the only rounds he was competitive was rounds 3 , 4.

he got knocked down in 3 and 4 so it didn't matter.

5 is debatable but he still didn't do much.

that jab worked for ONE round. the FEELOUT round.

don't you guys think all the right hooks pacquiao was throwing over cotto's jab and the straight lefts cotto ate when he threw that jab might have a little something to do with him not throwing it as much?

A lot of people seem to have this misconception. Cotto stopped throwing because Pac was f****** him up when he threw it.
