In the preview, he kept sayin, this fights gonna be a war!!!

This guy keeps talkin bout how he's tryin to help boxing...so far he's ****ed it up

If you bought the hype and bought the fight, that's your fault.

Many of us knew the main event was going to be a blowout and the undercard featured 2 olympians, because we're boxing fans and we've been to this site and *********.com and some of us have even seen Fana fight before.

It's not DLH's fault for trying to sell it...

true, but i believe he is messin up the sport so far, i dont think people are to happy by havin to pay for barrera fight or not even be able to watch him fight...I wonder what he will do when he realises how much money they lost

I was at the fights last night, here's a couple of observations;

1-Abner Mares, one of the olimpians, didn't fight because his opponent failed the physical, nothing wrong with that, but they knew that since friday and they didn't bother to make an announcement that the fight was canceled.

2-Juan Lascano canceled his fight as of last week, nothing wrong with that, except his fight was replaced with a four rounder that pretty much gave us a chance to go take a piss.

3 The event was over by 9:25 pm local time, to add insult to injury, they stopped selling beer at 8:30

DLH vs. Sturm/Hopkins vs. Allen was supposed to be a throwaway, even if the DLH-Sturm fight didn't go according to plan

Vitali vs. Danny Williams pretty much ******, and the undercard was weak too

so did Danny Williams vs. Tyson - awful undercard

Most of us could predict that they weren't going to be great watches, but we want to watch large boxing events as they happen. Here's a bold prediction: Tyson-McBride, Ali-whoever will not be worth the 45 or 50 bucks they're selling it for, in the eyes of most fans...

And neither will the main event of Chavez Sr. vs. Robinson

But we'll still order them...

I'm not bad-dogging Oscar, in fact we are very appreciative that he held the fights here in our town.
An experienced promoter would have had a couple of last minute fights in case of any shortcomings.

Oscar de la Hoya -- the pretty boy of boxing. Never cared for him much as a person (esp after his failed attempt at reality tv), however, I love him as a boxer.
