Floyd's Speed, Defense, and Awearness Will Shock Pac!!!

and no smart comments please, I wrote the title that way on purpose. Seriously though, 99% of the time in all of pro sports, defense wins the Title. Everyone think Pac has changed so much since JMM but look at his opponents. Even the most die hard fans have to admit that Oscar was dead. He was a punching bag. Pac didnt really have to do anything except move a little and punch non stop.

Hatton? Man I dont know what to say about Hatton. I couldnt beleive that fight. It was so weird. I saw Hatton the whole fight either have his hands totally down or the highest he had them was under his chin. Its like he was using the high guard Defense but the highest he brought them up was to his chest so his head had a big hit me sign on it. Then what made it crazy from the very jump was that Hatton would lunge in to punch and when he stops throwing, he just stood there with his hands down. It was so weired. Its like he expected the ref to pause the fight or for Pac to run backwards or something. Instead Pac immediatly fires back and darn near takes Hatton's head off. Then the 1st knock down comes when Pac is measuring him because he knows what Hatton is about to do and the speed differnce is so much that Pac waited for Hatton to just move his arm a inch like he was about to throw, and Pac threw his own quick hook and beat him to the punch. The whole fight Hatton has his hands down and just gets killed.

Then the Cotto fight comes and it was just as weird as Hatton. Just like the other 2 fights, Pac has a crazy speed advantage, and just like the other 2 fights he is facing a horrible defender. Like Shawn Porter said, Cotto is leaning forward with his chin down and he has his guard up but its an open guard. People talk all this stuff about the Pac angles but really all 3 fights were just simple punches mostly. He didnt have to do much. He's just throwing shots right down the pipe, all are splitting Cotto's guard easily, he never moves to get out of the way, and he's just so slow. Its so weird. Its like he's just standing there telling Pac to hit him without even trying to block.

Now to the Floyd fight. Its just like what I said at the jump about D winning titles. Its always the same in boxing when you saw a bralwer get owned by a master boxer. I just cant beleive how people dont see that this fight is going to be hell for Pac. His speed & D will win the fight. Pac has been destroying cats since JMM but they are all so slow and have terrible D and dont even let me get started on Diaz. He isnt even worth talkign about. Let Pac throw all those same exact punches against Floyd that he threw in those other fights. Not only do I think Floyd blocks them but he doesnt even have to do anything special to block them. Floyd is always aware and he's not going to get caught slipping. If Pac lunges then with Floyd's speed, its nothing for him to take a step backwards to get out of range. If Floyd fires a shot then there is no way he sits there with his hands down like Hatton to like Pac catch him back. and there is no way in hell that he's going to get hit with those punches straight down the middle that Cotto got hit with. He will just stand there with the high guard, keep it tight together, and block all of them before firing back. Im telling you that Pac is going to find it so hard to hit Floyd and Im not talking about Floyd running. Im just talking about with his normal speed, D, and awareness. Its going to be the complete opposite of what he's been going against.

Again, Im not even saying that in a super ****y way or that Floyd is Superman and so great. We all know that Floyd is so fast, so good on D, and so aware but it has more to do with how slow those other 4 guys were, how bad there D was, and how they were so unaware. It made Pac look like he's grown so much from JMM when really JMM is just 10x better than the level those cats are at "right now". They were tailor made for him. I mean, as good as JMM is, he is also average speed, has a horrible D, and bad awareness on the "defensive end". I mean its just going to be a shock to see how easy Floyd takes away Pac's O. Everyone thinks that Floyd doesnt have the power to keep Pac off him. I think thats insane but even if its true, Pac is going to have hell landing on Floyd even when Floyd is there to be hit. Again, I think all that angle stuff is so overrated due to the opponents. He wont hit Floyd with any of that, even when Floyd is not moving

You're right bro. Good post and I'm glad there's finally some mature dialogue, without the smart a-- comments in reply.

The taste of Pac's power, speed, footwork, flurries of punches from different angles will make Floyd run around the ring more than usual. This is the reason Floyd Sr. doesn't want his son to fight Pac because he will definitely lose.

Remember what Cotto said to Roach? "I'm not Oscar De la Hoya... I'm no Ricky Hatton."

Why? Because he thought Oscar was "dead" and Ricky was overrated. Pac's bigger opponents are always underrating him. De la Hoya saying Pac doesn't hit that hard and Ricky saying he was winning the 2nd round could've contributed to Cotto and his fan's delusions as well.

Yeah but all of that talk is still always more about Offense. On D he was horrible. To me it doesnt even matter how hard Pac hits because I just dont see him catching Floyd much and I dont mean chasing him. I mean even when Floyd is right in front of him. I honestly dont think Pac's stuff is hard to stop, e****ally if he's coming at you. I admit that I said that I think Floyd will try walking him down some but after watching most of his fights, I think its better to either just stand right in front of him or let him come to you because his punches are easy to stop to me at that point. Where he might can catch you is if you try to walk him down and he throws a quick hook or something but even all of that will be hard to do to Floyd if you ask me. I just dont see it. I mean those other guys were so tailor made for him. Its going to look night & day against Floyd

Your favorites (in no order): Cotto, ate a lot of halo-halo aKa Manila Ice. Halo-halo is actually pretty good...and it's got milk in it.
