Some of Mayweather’s detractors need to start looking at him more objectively. I’m not a fan of his, but you have to give credit where credit is due. The same goes for Pacquiao’s detractors. These men are two of boxing’s biggest names for a reason, and they’re going to possibly set a PPV record when their fight is finally over.

If you never saw PBF before, and someone sat you down for 4 or 5 of his best fights, you would have to be impressed with his boxing ability. But the guy isn’t unbeatable, nobody is. Floyd, for all his vaunted defensive skill, gets hit just like everybody else. He’s taken clean punches from virtually every one of his opponents. Many will argue with some validity that he was beaten by Jose Luis Castillo in their first fight. Pacquiao is a force of nature; he’s able to deliver powerful shots from weird, contorted angles, even off his feet! He will get hit with hard shots by Manny. Whether those shots do enough damage remains to be seen.

On the other hand, Pacquiao has never fought anyone like Floyd before. That’s mainly because there isn’t anyone as good as Mayweather in that style. PBF will definitely take advantage of Pac’s tendency to open up when attacking. That’s going to happen often. Floyd may not hit as hard as some others, but he doesn’t need to if he connects with enough flush shots.

One thing is certain, these are two of the best boxers in, arguably, the best division in boxing. They will test each other and we, as fans, will be wholly entertained. In the end, I think it’ll be a classic.
    Very well said.

Floyd aint harder puncher than cotto, not even close. floyd aint hurting pac, thats for sure,
all of floyd's opponent cant chase him, pac definitely will, pac has faster feet than mayweather....hatton was the same at the mayweather fight also, but it took him 10 rounds and he had hell earlier...

pac is smaller than cotto.but he fought cotto and killed him.
floyd is as big as cotto, but he bitched around and retired..
that cotto is the same with cotto who beated CLottey one eyed.and even greater coz he had an extra month.still pac killed him with one leg and has no respect to his power..
and with ODLH, yeah.hes damn dead that night.but no one can beat him that night the way pac beated him that night...no flaws, awesome footwork and angles..

and whats more about that fight??

      that was a major UPSET!!
