Before the Calzaghe-fight Kessler won 120-108 by all judges against Andrede who is ranked #4 by The Ring. He's not the same fighter today, period.

Andrade and Ward fight nothing alike.

Ward's style and adaptability were too much for Kessler. Simple as that.

It's pointless to discredit Calzaghe at this point, Ward was too fast and threw punches from too many angles, he looked really good tonight but in my opinion Calzaghe would've beat him.

So so let me ask you this, instead of fighting Lacy and Kessler. Who could Calzaghe have fought, or who should he have fought? In 2006 and 2007 that is. It's not his fault they both went on to lose after he beat them.

you can't seriously compare Joe Calzaghes resume to Hopkins, Jones jr, Mayweather, Pac etc, the only reason people were slightly comparing him to them was because everybody(including myself) thought Mikkel Kessler was one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, his style was made to order for Andre Ward who beat Mikkel Kessler anyday of the week, Joe Calzaghes resume was made up purely of a very very close fight with Bernard Hopkins(who the overrated Jermain Taylor beat twice, shows Hopkins old age can't handle speed of any type), and his main win was Mikkel, Calzaghe should come back and fight the winner of the super 6 and bad chad to deserve to be an atg

yeah and what do you base this on mate?, Alot of people say an amatuer Ward use to give a slightly past his prime Roy Jones alot of trouble in sparring, Roy even went on to state he thinks the Ward brothers are going to dominate, Roy did say early on Mayweather was gonna dominate
