    Did Joe Calzaghe unretire?

Because I can swear so many people are discrediting him today. What happened? Oh someone Calzaghe beat in 2007 lost. Perfect opportunity to discredit Calzaghe again.

Not only did he lose he got dominated by a green underdog, he lost every round in my opinion and Kessler was one of Joe Calzaghe best wins

Calzaghe needs to come out of retirement! I know styles make fights but what happens if Kessler really isn't all that good and its not just that Ward had a ridiculous great night? I expected Ward to win, but not like that.

Does the same rule apply for Mayweather beating DLH to you then? Mayweather beating DLH a year before Pac was more impressive.

Didn't Williams lose to Quintana in the first fight because Quintana used footwork to bufuddle him? What happened in the rematch? It's only one fight, get over it. Calzaghe layed the blueprint to beating Kessler anyway.

I don't even count the ODLH win for Pacquiao really.

2 years have passed by since the calz-kessler fight. Kessler's injuries and inactivity came back to bite him in the ass.

Before the Calzaghe-fight Kessler won 120-108 by all judges against Andrede who is ranked #4 by The Ring. He's not the same fighter today, period.

If people are going to proclaim Calzaghe as an ATG, then we're allowed to dissect his resume. And Kessler was the best win on his resume. It stands to reason that Calzaghe's resume is gonna take a serious Kessler gets his ass handed to him by a fighter with half the number of fights he has.

If Kessler had won tonight, and gone on to win the tournament, then Calzaghe's resume would be enhanced.

You can't have it both ways.

Floyd was a 4 division champ before he even stepped in the ring with Dela hoya,at 154. Joe's best victory over a prime opponent is Kessler, with Jeff Lacy being second. Joe's career defining fight is Kessler and if Kessler spirals downwards it makes his career is pretty much uneventful.
