Ward is a way better fighter than Chad Dawson and would beat him.

Dawson is much more accurate, has more power, is even taller than Ward and is and is a more complete boxer with a much more effective jab.
I don't know about power. For such a big dude, he hasn't shown much of that "power" you speak of. He's pretty skilled as far as technical ability though.

I have these guys fairly even, maybe with Dawson edging it. Dawson is more polished, but Ward fights with more fire. A fight between the two would be a nightmare for me to pick.

He staggered Adamek with a counter right hook off of the ropes in the 11th round. He can punch, he just thinks skill before power. Hes not a massive puncher, but he has that respecting crisp type of power.

it's kind of hard to look like a heavy hitter when your fighting iron chinned opponents
but chads straight left, and his right hook got some good power

And a Calzaghe-Ward fight is up in the air to me. I wasn't impressed with Ward in his fight with Miranda, but even Ward was honest with himself that night and said that he would perform better under a bigger stage. Ward is the truth. Abraham only has a puncher's chance against him, and his ear muff defense might make it hard for Ward to land. But Abraham would be more competitive than Kessler was.

The whole point of this thread though is to give praise to a fighter who deserves it and not a fighter who pitty pats to victories like Chad Dawson does.
How can you praise a guy that SLAPS like Joe and diss Dawson for pitty patting??

If you like Joe...you should LOVE Dawson.

Calzhage had hell with a washed-up,freshly KO'd Charles Brewer.

                He never impressed me.

Kessler has way more power than Glen Johnson does, and Ward wasn't even rattled when he had to take Kessler's punches on slim occasions during that fight.
Who has Kessler stopped to make you say he punches harder than Johnson?????????

Kessler couldn't KO career LIGHTWEIGHT Dingaan Thobela.

He couldn't even stop Anthony Mundine...a guy that was KTFO by the dreaded SVEN OTTKE

                  Kessler is not a puncher.

People think I'm a Dawson hater just because I don't think the guy is as good as a lot of people make him out to be. I don't hate Dawson. I just don't think he is improving as a fighter. Yeah, he looked better against Johnson and didn't fade in the last three rounds like he did with Tarver. But that's because Johnson had no legs and he kept throwing a weak jab at Chad to no avail. He was tailor made for Dawson that night. That's why Chad should've rematched him when he still had something left in the tank.
