The way that Ward lunges in sometimes while being negligent on defense is why him beating Abraham isn't a total forgone conclusion to me. Abe might be able to catch Ward with something big if he does that. I still think Abraham would get outboxed in large portions of the fight and would have to come up with a hail mary punch. Just don't try to make Ward out to be some kind of sleeper like Dawson or Dirrell. He puts stamps on his wins like a true pro. And you can't take anything from that.
Ward is the dirtiest fighter since Bernard Hopkins.

Ward fought in the clinches, but the ref told Kessler that he could fight back in them. The ref also warned Ward for hitting on the back of the head and hitting lower when he did. It's not like the ref turned a blind eye. He stopped the fight when Kessler's eye got worse which was the right move.
The ref in Froch Dirrell was a lot worse then this guy was.Comment

Give me a break, I don't even think Ward did it intentionally. Hopkins has been doing it for quite a while now to gain advantages.
The ref didn't help Ward's right hand reach Kessler's face.Comment

What, did you expect that every fight in this tournament was going to be in Europe? You are delusional if you think the referee affected the outcome of this fight. Kessler could have had the Queen of Denmark as ref and he still would have gotten schooled.Comment
