It depends how he beats him. If Floyd pot shots to a decision, he won't get much credit. If he brutally KO's Pac, he'll go down as an ATG, but still not greater than Pac.

He'd need to beat Mosley, Marg, Cotto to be considered greater than Pac ATG status.

Just because, Buster beat Tyson, didn't mean he went down as an ATG.

        mayweather is already an ATG.

beating another ATG who is in his prime and is considerd by most to be in the top 20 would catapult pbf into the top 10 and possibly top 5 imo.

Because that was an upset and Buster Douglas only claim to fame.

If Mayweather beat Pacquiao he would rank higher than Pacquiao whether you people accept it or not. Pacquiao is at his peak, his resume is comparable to Mayweathers, it is at the least debatable.

The winner of this fight would tip the scales. That being said, I'd like Mayweather to face the winner of the Berto and Mosley fight, then hang his gloves up.

Beating Pacquiao doesn't mean you beat Margarito, Cotto\, Mosley and Williams.

Tarver beat Jones doesn't mean he is ATG than Jones. Floyd is a great champion at 130 and possibly 135 but not an ATG material. That's it

gayweather is just using mosley's name as leverage in negotiations with pac... he don't want none.

              nononon....

it depends on if floyd fights tough fights that the fans want him to fight.

hell no! floyd still need to fight all the top WWs... he doesn't get credit for fights unless he actually fights them.

What part of right now they're about even, both seen as the best in the world at what they do. Pacquiao just edges out Mayweather do you not understand?

What part of ''Pacquiao is at his peak right now'' is so hard to understand?

You are at the Welterweight division for 5 years now and the best you can do at that division is beat Baldomir? What is hard to understand on that?

Sheesh, ATG gets thrown around all too much. Floyd hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in like 5 years. His best win is a past his prime Oscar De La Hoya

I don't know, HoF yes, ATG...not even close

floyd can't become an ATG just by beating pac.

pac's resume does nothing for floyd... floyd has to actually fight tough fights to get credit for them!!!!

I agree with these posts. I dont want PBF or his fans to think Pac is PBFs meal ticket to all time greatness.!

Pac has upset the odds, put in fantastic performances one after the after. So is due an off night (he isnt a machine), andlosing to PBF on a boring points decision would be the off night he deserves. But i dont see him losing to PBF, but you never know in this game.

PBF has put in workhorse type performances, scraping past DLH and then hatton at 147, but not setting the world on fire.
Pac would be due an off night or bad day at the office by now. Cant keep blowing peoples mind with amazing performances.
PBF beating Pac would be like Kirkland laing beating Duran. Dont make kirkland better than Duran.
