If you're trying to have a tourney with the top 6 168lbr's then why would you have to give a fair shot to Americans, seeing as there aren't 3 in the top 6?
Money wise, for a Pac- Cotto card yes. For most other fights,no. America isn't the earning center of the universe for boxing, if your name isn't Floyd or Pacman no one gives a **** in the U.S.
I disagree that they should go on potential. It's to have the top 6 fight, not shoulda coulda woulda maybe he's good enough. They should be chosen on accomplishment and merit.
If Andrade and Bute were in the tourney it would be better and would determine who is the best.

It's interesting to me that this rematch was made in Canada. I'm guessing Andrade doesn't have a large local following or his team would have fought for the fight to be in Mexico or SoCal.
Bute, if ghe gets passed Andrade, has options. He has already beaten Bika, but Bika has fought quite well recently and can't seem to get a fight with anyone. Allan Green always says he is the best, so I could see a fight in Montreal or Oklahoma. There is still money and fights to be made at 168 for Bute and those don't involve Kelly Pavlik. He is quite ready to fight at 168 for 12 rounds and having nto fought in a while he certainly isn't ready to me the trek up there.
Should Pascal get past Diaconu once again, expect to see a fight made between Pascal and Dawson. Tavoris Cloud, although he is highly ranked, is highly untested and green. Dawson would pick Cloud apart.Comment

I think there is a possibility disscussed that Pascal choose to fight Cloud first wich would be a way more interesting fight, then the winner fight Dawson. So there would be an opportunity for Bute to fight Dawson, there could be a super 4 at LHW !
Honestly, i think that the best choice for Bute in order is:
Pavlik on HBO. This would be huge and i think he would have a good chance of winning.
Dawson on HBO. Great fight even if Dawson is boring, then he could face the winner of Pascal vs Cloud.
Ward and Kessler on Showtime. This would make the tournament more interesting.
3 very interesting opportunity. It all depends of his performance and if HBO offer him something significant or not. Then i would really like to see him get in the showtime tournament, the super six is retaining alot of attention right now. Bute vs Ward would be a very interesting event and i would like to see him fight Kessler and later Froch.Comment
