If Lucian Bute (24-0, 19KOs) is successful in defending his IBF super middleweight title when he meets Librado Andrade next week in Quebec, he will entertain offers from both HBO and Showtime. Several of Bute's fights have been televised on Showtime, including the first fight with Andrade. The Andrade rematch takes place on HBO. [details]

BPP if Bute is so interested in the tourney why wasn't his management (presumably?) more receptive when they were approached with the idea? (they were approached correct?)

id like to see bute stay at SMW unless hes finding it hard to make the 12st limit and then he needs to move up.
i think if bute fails to land a big money fight with someone worthwhile (ala bika, greene, pavlik) in the SMW division, which is likely to happen as most of the top dogs are tied up with the tourney. then he should consider a catchweight (170-172) fight with either dawson or pascal. dawson has said beforehand that he finds the LHW limit relatively easily and has also flirted with coming down to SMW.
then theres pascal, now this would be a massive fight in canada. imo pascal has only just moved up in weight so his body is not fully settled at 175 yet so i think he could make 171/172.
