Arum is right when ellerbe keeps on quoting figures before pacquiao became a mainstream crossover american star. Ellerbe is trying to take advantage of the fact that american mainstream fans never care for lower weight non american fighters.

Pac only became mainstream star in america during the oscar fight. If you start looking at his ppv starting with the oscar fight its pretty clear that Pac has gotten the american mainstream's attention

      vs oscar 1.25 mill

      vs hatton 850k

      vs cotto 1.25 mil

The first 2 during my rougher economic circumstance than when fraudulent jr. fought them.

The fact that a non american fighter who can barely talk english, doesnt live in america, & a career lower weight fighter, has gained this kind of support, affinity, & reverence from the american fans & media compared to what is given to fraudlent jr. deserves at the very least 50-50.

Pac has already won & fraudulent jr. has already lost no matter what happens in the fight.

Everyone thinks Floyd is a great boxer. He isnt . He's hard to hit ,thats what he is. Everyone says Floyd will outbox Manny. He wont. Floyd does those cute shoulder rolls that makes it extremely difficult to nail him flush. Thats his biggest asset. Manny's tenacity will counter this . Manny and his southpaw stance will counter this. Not only is it hard to face a southpaw, but a great one, Hagler ,Pacman,Calzaghe, etc are near impossible to beat in their primes. And make no mistake, Manny is in his prime. This is an extremely difficult fight for Mayweather. Pacman gets hit and he pounds his stomach wanting more. The harder he gets hit , the more ferocious he becomes. Floyd hasnt faced a guy like Pacman . Every edge goes to Pacman in this fight, speed ,power and chin.Floyd's chin will be tested in this fight in a terrible way. Manny wins by unaminous decision or Floyd quits on his stool after 10.

I hope Pacquiao wins, but I don't see it happening, I live in reality not dreams.
Will you change your avi if Floyd beats Manny? I'll change my avi and sig in honor of Manny if he beats Floyd.

I hope they promote this right. With TV commercial, Internet promos, radio, ect, ect, ect.

boxing needs to start using other ways of promoting fights!!
You ain't say nothing but a word. The promotion from all sides will be
monumental. Some new marketing tactics might even be thrown in for good measure.

          You better believe it.

Yeah, Floyd has had 40 tune-ups in a row. He's never fought any decent fighter his whole career right?

Dunno why people are surprised we'll be waiting til May to see this. I thought it would be in September or October by the time everything got sorted and the time taken to promote the fight.

I posted a little while ago that it would likely take place sometime around May-July. This gives Manny enough time to rest, enjoy his vacation, heal up, and for the promotional campaigns to get rolling.

I wouldn't doubt they already started lining up advertisers and endorsers.

I imagine Pacquiao vs Mayweather 24/7 is going to be pretty entertaining to say the least. And all the parties involved are preparing for their roles.
