Floyd will never accomplish what Pacquiao has accomplished

Manny was fighting at the Featherweight Divisions (122, 126, 130) just a couple of years ago. Now he's the WBO Welterweight Champion having defeated the best Welterweight in the world. He didn't just win. He took everything Cotto could dish out, walked through it and beat the fight out of the former champion, stopping him in the final round.

In his previous fight, he KO'd the recognized Jr Welterweight (RING) Champion of the World, Ricky Hatton. And he did it in a manner that no one would have imagined. A brutal second round, one punch KO that left Ricky unconscious, center ring for more than five minutes.

    Simply Amazing.

For Floyd to accomplish such a feat, he'd have to do something similar to this...

Move up and KO Kelly Pavlik in a couple rounds
Then dominate Arthur Abraham and stop him late

    It'll never happen

Pacquiao does not need Floyd. His accomplishments overshadow anything Floyd has done. Manny is the P4P king, not Floyd. Manny will forever be higher than Floyd on the ATG list. Manny Pacquiao is the face of boxing.

If Ellerbe and Floyd demand more money than Manny then they don't want the fight. They need Manny at this point.

i wouldnt go that far. if floyd wants any chance to be takin seriously he needs to take this fight. i dont think one needs more than the other. I think a Manny/Floyd fight would cement both in boxing history.
This fight wil eclipse ANY other fight in history in matter of sales. This is the fight boxing needs and wants. Boxing will be so mainstream if this fight gets made. THE HYPE WOULD BE RIDICULOUS. i meen hell look at us on here. as SOON as Pac beat Cotto the thread has been full of pac/mayweather threads...and still is.

Ofcourse not because Mayweather doesn't want to push himself. Mayweather can beat Pacquiao and still not be as accomplished. We're talking about a guy who can possibly beat everyone at 154 or even get a M.W title but Mayweather doesn't care too much for that. Reason why it is hard enough to compare Floyd's legacy with any past/ current great.
