If memory serves me right, he lost them in mandatories. He had the IBF and WBA. Then the Lineal title from KT. Never lost at 140 prior to Pac. No JWW can be rated over him until that pacquiao fight.

he unified 2 titles wba/ibf during his reign. went to 147 and came down to win the vacant ibf title. then after a lost to pbf came back down again and beat the then ibf title paulie malinaggi who was rated #2 at the time.

When Mayweather and Cotto were both on Top Rank, Cotto had a title and so did Mayweather @ 140....thats why..they could have fought for their Belts....Mayweather wanted to fight Hatton @ 140 as well, Hattons dad didnt want the fight....So Mayweather left 140....Cotto & Hatton didnt want to fight him after seeing what he did to Gatti @ 140.....

in 2005 Cotto was the WBO champ & Mayweather was the WBC champ & Hatton was the WBA & IBF....

the champs (HATTON & COTTO) at that time DIDNT WANT TO FIGHT MAYEATHER because they would have got their belts snatched....
