How will Manny deal with Mayweather's right cross?

Manny had a bit of difficulty dealing with Cotto's cross. In the last 2 rounds, while Cotto was struggling to stay on his feet, he was landing some good cross punches. They were really snapping Manny's head back.

I've spent the last week thinking about the inevitable Mayweather/Pacquiao fight and I just can't think of any way Pacquiao will be able to deal with Mayweather's cross. It is (in my opinion) the most perfectly timed punch in all of boxing. If Mayweather uses this punch to pot shot and counter pacquiao I feel like it's an easy UD.

But i didn't make this thread to convince you all that mayweather will win the fight. I'm not a typical boxing scene fanboy. Quite the opposite in fact. I want to be convinced that Pacquiao can deal with this strategy.

I was so sure that Cotto was going to win last saturday. I went on and on about how ridiculous the betting lines were. Pacquiao through punches from angles that I just didn't understand. I mean honestly the angles were so awkward yet perfect ... I don't even know what to say about his style ... just WOW. I dont think anyone in the history of boxing has fought with his style before. No comparisons due him justice.

So back to my original question: How in the world will Pacquiao stop Mayweather's pot-shot right cross?

Could you maybe extrapolate on what you mean by this?

When I hear you mention Pacquiao's 'footwork' I assume you mean either his incredible ability to circle and create angles while in close or when he takes steps back while the other person is throwing. The prior would only work against Mayweather if the referee doesnt allow Mayweather to duck down exposing the back of his head after throwing his right cross (which he always is allowed to do even though this is not exactly legal). Taking a step back when Mayweather throws a cross would work, but I haven't seen Mayweather lunge punches the last few years except after the 5th round against a helpless Hatton.

Morales and Marquez had success with it. You could count on one hand the amount of times Floyd threw it against Marquez, though, which brings into question the health of his hand.

Pacs eat all Cottos cross jab and power punches like left hooks and right hooks.

          And walked through Cotto.

Do you think PBF is more powerfull than Cotto???

PBF will never engage with pacman. He will surely box all the way to 12 round.

          Coz he cant hurt Pacman.

Problem is make the fight more credible. Let the fight be set.

I'm sure after George blasted out Frazier and Norton, people said if Frazier's left hook didn't deter him and Norton's overhand right didn't do ****, what could Ali do to hurt him? It's the punches you don't see, man. Besides, Floyd, when his hands are healthy, has underrated pop.

Interesting. I didn't even notice that Mayweather was not throwing rights in his last fight. That is his 'problem' hand though.

Pacman's Footwork and Handspeed are equal to Floyd so the truth is if this fight actually gets made it's almost a Toss up.

He was in economical form, basically winning the fight on the jab alone, with a few minor exceptions.

                    1) foot work

                    2) bobing and weaving

                    3) walk right through it

                    4) counter w/ left cross
