Once Pac starts turning it on his speed becomes blinding; you are getting hit from everywhere at every angle. Oscar said that he punched so fast that thought there were 10 of him in there. It takes a very special defensive fighter to handle that kind of barrage, and Miguel is not that kind of fighter.
Exactly try explaining that to this idiot. He thinks round 1 determined how Cotto should have fought the fight.

he doesn't knwo that Round 1 was just a round for Manny to feel Cotto up and test how fast Cotto would react when being hit with a 1-2 to the jaw.

Roach said Cotto wasn't the same fighter. He said in the beginning rounds Cotto gave him some doubts, but he said he still felt he wasn't the same fighter. He figure that out by watching some of Cotto other fights before the Margarito controversial lost.

              The same fighter huh..

The thing is that Cotto was never THAT fighter. He was just a good hype-job. Yea sure, he did have some good fighting features like a strong left hook etc.. and he was able to put good pressure on opponents, but he could have never been a class A fighter. He was too slow and chinny.

As i said earlier, he was almost knocked out by a washed up Judah and had to resort to lowblows to get out of tough situations.
He got murdered when he met a decent full potential WW and showed his true colors. Then he showed his true colors again against Clottey.

The only fight Cotto looked good in was the mosley fight. I give him props for that, but sadly, Cotto was never that GREAT fighter you all thought he was and he'll never be. Im just sayin....

The plan was really to ware Cotto down and make him work early in the fight.
Roach knows Cotto wasn't the same fighter so he had that game plan. They never had intentions of knocking Cotto in the first round, but wanted Cotto to be so mad cause of the argument that he would have a strong start.

But considering Cotto strong punches Manny still got hit and risk getting k.O.
Manny was hurt in occasions, but Manny is experience in that and tried to pretend he was O.K. This would avoid Cotto from trying to finish him off, because if Cotto knew Manny was hurt he would be willing to give all that he's got just to knock him out. I feel I know some of the times Mannys fakes this, but I don't want to risk manny from losing. He's still able to take a punch, but if he fights another strong fighter in a row he might not be so lucky. Manny had a walk in the park in his last two fights before the Cotto bout. Its continuous battles what soften up fighters.

Man.....manny didn't get hurt as bad as you think he did. At least not to the point where Cotto could have finished him off even if he came at him with all his energy.

The truth is that all these past 3 fights have been a walk in the park for Pac. The only moment where i thought Cotto gave Pac a challenge was the first 2 rounds where Pac had to figure him out. After that it was a ride in a canoe let alone a walk in the park.
