Arum is probably right Floyd is afraid of losing his "0" record. He's picking his fights since he's getting old and ducking opponents whom he thinks can put that "0" to 1, it's his only ace to be still marketable in boxing. Floyd came back from retirement since he's going kaput with all that spending. He better accept the deal it will probably his last paycheck as a boxer.

What a DUMB comment from Arum. Mayweather came out of retirement after Pac. Reason he fought JMM who some would agree beat Pac. Arum doesn't think Mayweather will accept his "offer". Has NOTHING to do with the fight. Its old news Mayweather and Arum don't get a long.

Mayweather said Pac would beat Cotto. So knowing Mayweather, he has already begun preparing for the fight. EVERYONE knows Mayweather is about the money. He (Mayweather) IS about this fight. The question is who will get the most money? That is the ONLY problem with the fight. Has nothing to do with neither guy not wanting to fight. It's the money. IMO 40-40 with the winner taking the remaining 20%. That will add to the drama that will already be involved in the fight.

Precisely going for the kill, as a response of frustration or getting hit, with a skilled defensive fighter as Mayweather will make him loose, it´s a PAC habit that won´t go away...

so if he tells you that it simply means that he had an OFFER (an offer is an offer, even if he would accepted it, it doesn't mean they would have fought) and he obvisiouly thought that he could make a lot more money against Leonard and it was an lowball offer otherwise he wouldn't have even said that. Besides he not only called him out once, he called him out after many fights of his... so something doesn't make sense. Probably he thought that he was worth more, so you can blame it on him or on Leonard who if he really wanted fight, like the one against Hagler, always got what he wanted. This was a fight that he never wanted 100%.

Pryor himself stated that he turned down that pay day because "it wasn't enough for a champion such as himself"

This was despite the fact that Pryor himself was not an established welterweight and had no name recognition to demand a match with Ray Leonard.

Calling somebody out doesn't mean anything and it's ****** to even suggest that it does.If Timothy bradley was to call out Mayweather or Pacquiao and they simply ignored him,would that mean they were ducking bradley? No it wouldn't.

facts are facts here and the fact is Pryor received a great offer and turned it down and has no excuses for doing so.

I never once said that Leonard was ducking him... that's a word I don't use. I said he never wanted any part of him and I stay to it and that's ok because there are fighters who doesn't bring much money but fighting wise they would be deserving of a shot.

Why was Aaron Pryor deserving of a shot? What had he done as a welterweight? And most importantly Ray Leonard gave him a shot and he turned it down.

I want to know where you base such accusations of Ray Leonard wanting nothing to do with Aaron Pryor even though Ray Leonard(even tho he didn't have to) offered Aaron Pryor a chance to make some good money and make a name for himself while Leonard was at his peak.

Quality pressure fighters gave him troubles and Pryor hand enough handspeed, could punch in bunches for 15 rounds, could create unbelievable angles etc.

You base this off of his fight with Duran? Duran and Pryor were nothing alike and had completely two different styles,Duran didn't punch in bunches for over 15 rounds and Duran's defense was far greater than Pryor's.

Yeah, like I said before at this day it wasn't like you loose a fight and come back and headline again... only if you are a guy like Leonard... And to make 500k it's not very much for a fight against Leonard who make a lot of money.

Half a million is alot considering it's $470,000 more than what Aaron Pryor every got for a fight.Like I already said,Pryor has no excuses for turning down that offer since he apparently wanted Leonard so badly.

Leonard as well never was a real Middleweight before he fought Hagler... so what has it to say that Pryor had done nothing at Welter. He was a Junior Welter champion so until he had somebody to move up why should he. Back in the days you at least made a good payday as champion. So why should he move at try to get a title match against Leonard, which he never would anyways, and even get less money for that.

The great difference here is that Ray Leonard at the time that he challenged Marvin Hagler was already an estalished name in the mainstream,the biggest star in the sport since Ali and this had been a fight people wanted to see for five years.Nobody even knew who Aaron Pryor was until his fight with Arguello,by which time Leonard was retired

And as long as you don't come up with something that Aaron himself that to the fact that yes, I got the best offer I could and I still refused to fight him even though I called him out numerous times you won't make me change my mind.
