Of course Schaefer wants a Golden Boy fighter to fight a Golden Boy fighter. No surprise there. That doubles Schaefers share of the money. And the wag dogs at HBO will buy into any old crap that Schaefer comes up with.

So I guess the fight will happen, providing Hopkins beats Jones.

The heavyweight fight that fans should call for, is Haye vs. one of the Klitschkos, but they don't. And I don't think Schaefer will let Haye anywhere near a Klitschko for the next year or two. There's a reason why they pulled Haye out of Klitschko fights twice. They won't even let Haye get close to punchers like David Tua or Sam Peter.

Golden Boy has a heavyweight belt now. They are not going to waste that right away. And with HBO to pay the bills, and with fans and media wanting to ignore the Klitschkos, that will work fine for them.

After Ruiz, Hopkins and the Valuev rematch, Haye can move on to guys like Holyfield, Adamek and Chambers...
