Some very bold words from 19-year-old welterweight prospect "El Canelo" Saul Alvarez (29-0, 22KOs) of Mexico. Alvarez believes that in four or five fights, he will be ready to fight and beat Manny Pacquiao. During a recent interview, WBC president Jose Sulaiman told Mexican reporters that he believes Alvarez will be ready to fight Pacquiao in a year. I think the skill level in the entire sport of Boxing just went up after Pac-Cotto.
Every little fighter wants to grow up, train hard and beat Pacquiao now.

As for Alvarez... the guy needs to stop fighting tomato cans in Mexico and get some real competition under his belt before even thinking about facing Pacquiao.

Beating up 5 guys with more than 10 losses on their resume does not prepare you for Pac.
