smaller fighters when skilled enough have a distinct advantage going up in weight because the bigger fighters are not use to their speed.
you get a guy used to fighting at featherweight and lightweight speed and give him enough pop and skill and he's tough for welterweights who are not used to that workrate and speed.
example: what was floyd's toughest fights? at what division?
why has floyd looked more untouchable at 140-147 than he did at 130-135?
yes floyd's fights have been kinda soft at 140-147 but still. guys can't handle his speed.
only difference is pacquiao is more aggressive while floyd defensive.
mayweather could have tko'd and ko'd baldomir , judah and delahoya. he just didn't try.
I think Floyds looked more beatable at the higher weights. Less k.o's and more decisions.
Packy has gone the opposite route. He was having a lot harder time at the lower weights.
Pac trained 5 weeks in the Philippines cause he didn't want to pay the tax that US will levied on him for staying too long in the U.S.. It was Arum who informed Pac of this and suggested that he hold camp outside of the U.S....or he will have to pay a hefty tax.
This is what happens....you guys speculate without knowing the facts first. Accuse first...then check the facts later.
We all know this part of it. It was all over the 24/7.
good point...put with weight lifting, and eating more, wouldnt it make him a lil bit slower??? but thats a real good point
Not it wouldn't make you slower at all. Weight lifting has proven to increase speed dramatically. When it comes to weight lifting in boxing to increase speed, you'll get put in to light weight lifting under hard supervission and they will analyse results carefully as the process continues, and with a good nutrition to make you increase weight it shouldnt be a problem. If you could keep all of that intact, and speed + power as you increase weight too = devastating power plus speed.
And if you progress like that and increase more speed in the process, you will have more devastating power, just depends on technique and other stuff too wich manny already has.
