its funny how people that dont fight say a boxer should only care about legacy. like floyd said, if he or any boxer goes broke, are fans going to support them financially? NO

last i checked, we were individuals and we make up our own minds.

tyson has a boxing legacy but what is the new generation of kids hearing about him first.

how broke he is and hows hes a has-been. or how great he was as a boxer?

people talk about his finacial woes before his legacy....fact

what comes to mind when talking about ALi. how great his legacy was or how hes physcially and mentally decrepit?

his mental and physical condition is first on mind

Criticize all you want, If Mayweather fought Margarito, and every other fighter requested yeah he might have a great legacy, but he also may have gotten brain damage and lost his stock for future megafights.

Are you offering dollars to the Ray Robinson Estate, Are you donating to Gareld McCellan medical expenses. Didn't think so. It's all good though because they have legacy.

At the end of the day Boxing is the way these people make a living. A Previleged few get to make millions in their careers. I do not care if my boss wants me to work in a lesser position with more hours and less hours so I can better be in his good graces, His wishes aren't going to benefit me or my family. It's understandable to me at least that Mayweather and others feel the same way.

6 time World Champion, 5 Weight Division World Champion, Olympic Bronze Medalist. 40-0. Clearly beat the man in a rematch that some say beat him.
not to include the cross over appeal he has brought to boxing. PPV revenues and so forth.

Maybe not to you, But Mayweather has done what 99.9 percent of boxers have not been able to accomplish in their careers.

        His Legacy is Solid.
        Legacy of a solid coward.

Of course people like u prefer cowards... coz u urself is a coward by all means.

        Cowards prefer other cowards afterall.

Tell gayweather to learn to type correctly.

          It's gayweather's own words... I mere copy-pasted it.

Shows the lack of education on gayweather's part dont u think?

Of course everybody knows gayweather is an uneducated idiot.

But the point of the matter is that gayweather doesnt give a **** about his legacy... its all about money for him.

You are on point brother. People won't care crap about who these men fight 20 years from now. If floyd is a bad way, they will talk about that just like they talk about Ali and Tyson. People are so full of it.

So we can agree that gayweather is crap.

Boxing greatness is all about legacy first and foremost.

But of course cowards... like u... have the right to idolize other cowards..

              Like gayweather.

              Not to mention ***g0ts.

Gayweather said so himself that he's all for the checks and not for the legacy.
Could you please stop mentioning me as a fan of Mayweather in every post you make?

I don't know how to make it any more abundantly clear that I'm not a fan of his.

Because its all about US right? It's always about what WE want and what WE Remember.

Are WE donating money to these guys after their career is finished saying "He's 10 dollars, thank you for your legacy" the Answer is NO.

WE do not get in the ring, do do not get punches thrown at our faces. Our wives and kids don't have to worry about us.

WE give nothing but pats on the back after these guys have the fight of their lives and when our fighters lose, we barely acknowledge them. Most of us go to friends houses and bars during the PPV events.

I think its a completely understandable if a fighter thinks about his family and himself first. and having just a few amateur fights, I could never call another fighter a coward.
If you don't want to get hit, if you don't want to get hurt, then guess what....don't box. It isn't a sport for the feint of heart, it's a rough tough sport and an incredibly hard way to make a living.

I can understand if you are a middle of the pack fighter, then your point would be valid. Since Mayweather goes around and keeps telling everyone how he's the greatest of all time, then prove it.

I can say what I want for two reasons.

#1 - I actually fought, amateur but I fought which is more than I can say for most here.

#2 - I'm a paying fan. My money goes into the pocket of Mayweather because I have bought and paid for a lot of his fights. So I do have a say so in what he does as a fan.

Once you have all the money, the fame and th accolades, then there's nothing left but to cement your legacy.

Stop giving me this tired ass argument of "A man has to eat" bull****. Mayweather can eat, feed everyone around him and still have money left over to go to the strip club in his Bentley.

It isn't about money at this point for him, it's about pride and legacy. He's so full of himself, he actually believes he's the greatest of all time. He's not until he proves it.

While Joe Lewis died poor and so did many others, they will be immortalized in the history of boxing, at this point Mayweather won't.

Yeah because REAL MEN talk crap about people they don't know behind a computer screen.

I actually fight in a ring brother. It makes no sense me talking about you. I don't know you. Just respond to the facts. I doubt you would fight any of the people these so called "cowards" have fought.

This is how little children and Women react to when they been son'd. Instead of debating the facts and points, they resort to name calling and insults.
