Yes... Boxing has evolved, fighters have gotten faster, stronger and technicly better... I mean do yall seriously think guys like Willie Pep or Benny Leonard could beat the likes of Pernell Whitaker or Floyd Mayweather? I dont think so...

The guy was at 190ish without cutting any weight or anything.....I think Haye could present a problem or maybe Adamek too.

this is what i mean, i dunno, srr is pretty overrated, sure he beat alot of good fighters, but just watching him fight and then people saying he'd destory roy jones...dunno, could just be my opinion but i dont see it happenin

It's just a sad fact ; people didn't even know how to do situps, or hit a heavybag, or work a speedbag, or do any roadwork prior to 1990.

Ray Robinson is lucky he fought back in that time period ; I believe that if he were around today, Alfonso Gomez would make easy work of him.

I really don't understand this argument
Unless you single out people, how can you say if ALL fighters from the past are overrated?

If you're asking are modern day fighters better overall then that's unanswerable really... the sport has evolved technically, so you could say fighters from the past would struggle with the Whitakers or Mayweathers of today... but you could also argue that modern day Welterweights could not last 15 rounds, with tiny gloves against Sugar Ray Robinson.

I suggest you sit down and watch one of his fights in its entirety. Ray would eat Roy Jones' lunch.
