They werent big power punches but they are still stinging blows that could take its effect on an older guy who has been in alot of wars. On top of that he should have 1 fight just to get a feel for 140 anyways.

I for one do like to see people do different things though so I love the thought of JMM fighting Hatton in England. Thats cool to me and I will definatly be watching. Whoever loses needs to hang them up though
JMM has always talked about how much he respects Floyd as a fighter and how he viewed him as the best, plus with how things fell against him I think he is mentally strong enough to deal with that one.

I understand what you are saying because Floyd did rough him up and he has taken quite a bit of punishment in his career before that fight, so you never know when he will hit the cliff. I think is is better that he just lets his body rest and recover but a tune up at 140 against someone not that great probably wouldn't hurt. Either way I think JMM can handle what is left of Ricky Hatton though.

It is a crossroads bout no doubt

Nah, for real... you don't think the first Pacquiao fight took something out of him, and that's why he lost the plot? Cause I do.

BUT... this thread is about Marquez. FFS.

He's trying his best to turn it into another Floyd thread.

With this whole "Floyd ruined Marquez" thing he's trying by talking up how he might not be the same, how many pillows Floyd landed on Marquez, etc...

Marquez is mentally and physically tougher than to have lost anything after getting tagged by a featherfisted Junior MIddleweight for 12 rounds.

He survived manny Pacquiao twice, FFS.

For what it's worth, I think Marquez will/should win.

I can't lie though, there's a huge part of me that wants Hatton to win this fight. He deserves a big win more then most IMO. Especially after his showing in the Mayweather and Pacquiao fights, and he gets disrespected on here too much for my liking.

                      I know man. Pfff.

It was only a matter of time before a thread-crapper appeared (sorry DLT) but it's not too late to salvage the thread.

I mean, so what, he had a frustrating pillow fight during a sleepover at Lloyd Barleywater's gaff, that's all. Nothing to get stressed about. JMM will be back soon to destroy the human blancmange and I can't wait.
