What people need to realize is Pacquiao has never weighed in at 147 for any of his Welterweight fights. Do I like the fact that he is demanding catch weights? Of course not. But I think that is just to get more money from the fight more than being scared of the other guy or trying to weight drain him. Grustler mentioned earlier that he thinks Pacquiao may be reluctant to fight Floyd because of his intelligent fighting style and that may be true. But what needs to be taken into consideration is Pacquiao has a messed up ear and that isn't going to heal overnight.

      1. I can see this fight not getting made.

      2. I propose they sign the same deal as Hopkins and Roy signed. 40/40 with the winner taking the additional 20%.

      3. Manny is now a champ at 147. No more catch weight bull****. Be a true champ, fight at your division's weight.

The fight doesn't have to be at 147. If the argument is that Floyd isn't his best at 145, the same is true for pacquiao. If anything, Pacquiao is the best when he's fighting lower than 145. The catchweight makes it even for both fighters because it's a middle ground between the 2. Seriously, STFU about catchweight beacuse both sides are making a sacrifice.

So on one hand Manny will easily defeat PBF on the other hand Pac wont be ready to fight in March cause he needs time to prepare for PBF. Clearly shows that people are f--ked up in the head when they accuse PBF of not wanting this fight. Roach and Arum have been making excuses for months now. I hope PBF stnads his ground and doesn't accept a catch weight or nothing less than 55/45 because he doesn't need Manny.

My Goodness, Dittos to the article and to what Roach says.

How foolish for Pacmang to fight in March when he just had a busted ear drum thanks to the great Power of a great Welter Weight , Miguel Cotto ! Cotto fought them all unlike Mayweather. Cotto talked with his fists, Mayweather talks with his mouth.

Its amazing to me to have all the skills and talent in one ball and yet not have theBALLS TO PUT IT TO USE!!

Pacmang deserves a good rest and we all need to get on to other fights as others have said. I hope all the fighters stay healthy and we have a great showdown in Texas at the nice new stadium.

Manny Pacmang Pacquiao has put boxing back on the BIG TIME !!!!

Coz Floyd is asking too much w/c IMO should not be the case. For Arum & Roach, this is strategy for them so Floyd don't price himself too much. Roach is very vocal about Pac vs PBF but he doesn't want to be bullied around and agreed to whatever FLoyd will say. Moreover, Pacman at this moment doesn't need Floyd, it's the other way around.

Whats the joke about it ? If the so called great Mayweather is so good and he is always touted as being a "small welter weight" and we have the smallest welter weight champion in HISTORY, why not come in a 145, both should do this easily.

Mayweather don't want the title !!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT would he do with a title ???????? He wants the MONEY !!!!! True GAME FIGHTERS want both. True game fighters fight for glory and honor, they fight for the people, they fight for themselves they fight for titles. Sure they want the money and you can't blame them, but Mayweather if he had a WW title would have to defend it some day and that so FAR is FAR from his MIND !

because Pacquiao is the welterweight champion right? so why would he not fight at the offical weight? if Pac and Roach wants to fight real welterweights then fight them at the real welterweight limit
