    despite being a cotto nutthugger..

i have to say that he fought ******ly against the pac. in my opinion he won the first three rounds and was starting to exert his power on the paq until he ******ly started trading after getting trapped near the ropes. He never recovered from that knockdown and lost his control afterwords.
with a trainer who is not afraid to guide cotto, he is still the ebest out there who is equipped to bust the phillipino bubble. a rematch should be made!!

I can see your point, but I honestly think he's done.

I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch either way, you never know. Pac is beyond beatable.

He was knocked down in the third, how did he win the first three?

You say he fought ******ly; he fought the only way he could against the speed and power he was facing. He fought well until Manny started letting his hands go. Everyone's got a plan until they get hit.

Definitely. That's the only clear round I can give him. After seeing it the first time I thought there was another round he could have taken, but after watching again, I'm not so sure about that. He certainly didn't win the 3rd because he was knocked down.

I think Cotto should get a rematch, especially if the PPV #s do well, but he cannot go into the fight with A). The same corner B). The same corner and lastly C). The same corner

Even late in the fight, when on his toes and throwing the jab, he kept Pacquaio honest. He has the skills to beat him, but he couldn't adjust and he really seemed to tire out pretty quickly, obviously that left hook from hell will slow anyone down, but still. Pacquiao did not come out of this fight unscathed, the boy was in fight, Cotto definintely hurt him, but without strategy to go 12 rounds, he was lost.

I mean, it just KILLED me that Santiago said that they didn't expect Pac's power, I mean are you serious? The guy is a ****ing machine and with his speed, it just makes the punches that much harder. Arum truly needs to step in and guide his second best fighter onto the path to greatness again, because as much as I love Cotto, another punishing fight and he will be done.

Wtf is up with Cotto fans always adding to the rounds he won. You guys did the same when he lost to Clottey. Only the Cotto nuthuggers had him winning that fight..Clottey clearly won

ON topic: Cotto lost because he has never faced an hard and accurate jawbreaking puncher like Pac. After he felt the 3 punch combination(i think the first combo Pac landed on him) he knew he was in for a long night...and after that first knockdown in round 3 he knew what was up

God forbid Cotto requests for a rematch. I bet money Cotto would never agree for a rematch even if he was called out by Pac himself
