Freddy Roach On Mayweather fight: "I want the fight at 145 lb"

Roach has lost his mind. Of course he wants the fight at 145. He wants to give Pacquaio an advantage. He claims Pacquaio will KO Mayweather faster than he did Cotto, but he doesn't believe he can do it at 147. No way will that fight take place at anything below 147 regardless of the money split. And there is no way in hell Pacquaio will get 60 percent of the revenue. He claims Mayweather doesn't draw big crowds. The numbers don't lie. Mayweather PPV numbers are almost three times Pacquaio's.Comment

Paul Williams wants some bizz at 145. :box2:
Nope. Roach would only want Mosley at 140 at the most, especially since Shugs foolishly offered.Comment

Freddy Roach is out of his mind if he thinks Pacquaio will dictate the terms of a fight with Mayweather the way he did with Cotto. Mayweather drew 1 million PPV against a guy Pac could only draw 400,000 against. If Pac/Cotto numbers are over 1 million, then Mayweather Cotto would have been at least 50 percent higher.Comment

Hey, I'll tell you guys what. You might be pissed at Manny Pacquiao for this, but the fact that Floyd cheated the catchweight against JMM is automatic money in Pacquiao's pocket for this fight unless Floyd wants to walk on it. The only bad thing is it may not be for Pacquiao's title, which is the thing that makes me hate what Roach and Pacquiao do with fighters' weights.
Mosley would be willing to go down to 140 for Pacquiao. But the fact that Floyd is willing to hand money over to Pacquiao and come in at 147 may be Pacquiao's plan all along. So should I really be mad? Mayweather will be a Middleweight on fight night and Manny will come in under 150 regardless. If Floyd wants the fight at 147, maybe he needs to offer Pacquiao the majority of the purse or fight someone else like Saul Alvarez or a fight with Lamont Peterson. Mosley will be willing to fight Pacquiao on his terms.Comment
