Cotto should not rematch Margarito and for Arum to even entertain that idea shows that he doesn't care nor value Cotto as a fighter. I think that Cotto's career has been good as far as looking at it from a financial perspective. However, Cotto has taken a lot of tough match ups and they should've mixed in a few filler fights to give him longevity within the sport, simular to that of Bernard Hopkins. I think Cotto should drop Arum and also get a new trainer. He has yet to stop the major flaw in his defense which is leaning forward and allowing every fighter to hit him with multiple upper cuts. I wish Cotto the best and hope he does whats best for him and his family.

midway through the fight with pacman, cotto forgot what a jab was. A jab, holding and an actual body attack would have probably won him the fight against marg, it worked for sugar shane, though i doubt quitto can ko marg, just decision

I would love to see Margo vs Cotto. But no elite fighter will fight Margo again.

Bob is not going to match Mosley against Cotto. If Mosley destroys Berto he really won't do it. He would match him up against Berto or Hatton probably. I just want Cotto to retire

My friend did you forget that once your face is damged to the magnitud it was damaged against Margarito from there on you will swell easier in the future. If you look at the punishment recived from Mosley and Judah (which was plenty) it never had Cotto face swollen, cut yes, but not swollen and Mosley is suppose to be a harder puncher than Margarito. The fact is that after Margarito (plaster or not) Cotto face will be vurneable to be swollen doesn't matter who he faces an yes, without the plaster like Paquiao did.

Although I beleive that Margarito should not even be reinstated, if he is, I agree that Cotto should avenge his lost, he proved that he has the skills to beat him but as you said it should be with a new trainer, specially a tranier that can teach him better defensive skills and tactics and a trainer that Cotto does listens to and at least after 2 fights.

I think everyone should just leave Cotto alone and let him rest
for atleast 6 or 7 months before talking about who he is going
to fight next. He just got blown out and beat bad, been through
wars back to back so he earned a lil time to himself to fix himself,
team and solidify his structure. Cotto has a lot to think about,
plan and execute, let the man live and leave him alone until he's
ready to fight again. I think Arum is a douche, if he tried to throw
Cotto back in the ring with Margarito in March then Cotto would
get Rocky'd and get brain damage. Until Cotto improves I don't
even think he has a chance in a rematch with Margarito.
