    hmm

If I'm not mistaken, that's the one where Joe is landing those VICIOUS body shots throughout the fight. Damn Joe was on a tear that fight and I don't know how Ali took it.

I watched the fight, wasnt all that to me. I dont know, Ali leaning on the rope and Joe pounding away whilst Ali does flurries now and again just doesnt cut it. Its a great fight for a HW but I've seen lighterweights demonstrate much more.

It was heartbreaking when Futch wouldn't let Joe come out again.

Great fight. Their first meeting was a classic also.

Ali-Frazier III is a great fight, but there are others that I like more. Fights like Trinidad-Vargas and both Hearns-Leonard fights. Still, the fight was very good although sometimes I felt it a little slow. Maybe I was not made for fifteen rounders. Anyway, I will watch it again and see if it ranks higher for me. I might actually change my mind.

As a heavyweight fight it's hard to top, though. I also like Holmes - Cooney quite a bit, though that's partially because the builup to that fight was so incredible and bizarre. I can't imagine what it must have been like to follow it live (I was alive but like 5 at the time).

It's rare that a good heavyweight fight lasts as long as these two. Bowe - Holyfield 1 is another one. Other than that you have the two other classic Ali fights from the 70s (Fraizer 1, Foreman) and not much else.
