It could of been 100 years and Pacquaio still would of won.

Doesn't matter if Roy was "untouchable", you're talking about skills, not accomplishments, and skills don't really factor into ATG lists. It's what you achieve that makes you highly regarded, no matter if you're flawed.

I watched Roy in his prime, so for me it's nothing to do with being young. My introduction to boxing was Ali late in the 70's.
The poll says: The best fighter of the last 20 years, not who has the best resume' of the last 20 years. If that was the case, Lennox Lewis would trump Pacquiao.

Jones was the best over the last 20 years, bar none. No discussion about it. His dynasty lasted 50 fights, 14 years and he had 26 title fights. Pacs reign just begun when Floyd retired.

Pacs record through 50 fights was 45-3-2. (13 world title fights)

That should put it into perspective a little, hopefully.

Your perspective. Not mine. I'm not the biggest Roy Jones fan, he got thrashed by a semi-disabled Welsh sheep shagger called Joe Calzaghe.

            It's my opinion. OK?

                    Roy Jones Jr.

                    From Middleweight to Heavyweight.

Roy fought most of his career at a level that most champions could only glimpse. The natural aging process beat Roy, not any particular fighter. The Traver left hook shattered Roy's confidence, but not his legacy. The Jones that fought Calzaghe was a fraction of the fighter Roy once was. Roy Jones Jr. is most certainly one of the best of his era, and without a doubt on par with the best in history.
