Listen, as much as I’d like to just catch up on things and chat about nonsense for a bit, there are a couple things from over the weekend it seems like a good time to address.

I’m sure by now you’ve gotten wind of what went on at the MGM in Vegas on Saturday night.

That Pacquiao kid. Yes, him. He was in the ring again. Beat up Miguel Cotto for most of 12 rounds and looked good doing it. Damned good, in fact.

And even though most people sort of saw it coming, it was still pretty impressive.

So now, like it does whenever a guy within 10 pounds of welterweight wins a fight, the pack of wolves reticent to sing your praises is off and howling about how this one is the best in the business.

Not only in the sport today.

But in the discussion with guys like Duran and Chavez and Henry Armstrong.

Agreed. Except Dough. For a man with balls enough to say that Pbf should not be ranked above Cotto/Mosley will earn my respect. He did it to his employer (RING magazine) too. That takes balls.

All-time great ... All-time good. 2003 and below is where Pbf has done things that an all-time greats does. Don't you fking compare PBF-JMM against PAC-COTTO.

I do believe Pbf should be the odds favorite against Pac but this level of nuthuggerism is too far already for a fcking paid writer. I favor Pbf in a head to head matchup against Pac but in no way will he compare to pac's achievement even if he comes out with a win. He still have to do more.

pac has accomplished more for his size than floyd has. pac started lower and still accomplished more at mayweather's current weight than he has. Cotto is better than anyone mayweather has faced at 147+. so I hope Lyle is just sucking up to floyd to get this fight made because dissing pac more than he needed to and pumping floyd more than he needed to was uncalled for.

The whole "Pac started at 106" thing is quite silly. He was a teenager. If he was American, he would have been in the amateurs w floyd, zab, diaz, shane, oscar and forrest, etc

Someone can counter your argument by saying that Floyd accomplished more at 135. It is not a meaningful statement.
