If Ward did do excessive clinching it would probably be a mistake against Kessler, I'm sure Kesslers team is prepared if their is excessive clinching. But who knows, I hope if Ward does win theirs not too much holding involved. Seems like the refs now adays don't deduct points or dq for excessive holding. I know a fighter who fought Marquez was dq'd for excessive clinching.

        I'll be rooting for Ward.
I'm a fan.Been following him since he was in the olympics and when he was still fighting on FSN.
He's a local hero here in the Bay Area.
        It's not so bad

That's what I'm counting on - it may be the only way he can win.

My prediction in KO/TKO in rounds 9 to 11, but I'm not absolutely certain. If the referee lets Ward hold a lot, there's a chance he may be able to survive the 12 rounds.

ward is a man who will not allow kessler to dictate pace.

ward held so he could figh inside miranda's looping punches, his game plan will be diff for mk. i think he will exploit hand speed and counter mk's mistakes from outside. ward's boxing iq is very high and mk has a good loss as his biggest figh.

If the fight were in a neutral location, Kessler would have no problem winning. But I've seen in the past how biased officials can make a difference.

Major homefield advantage. Well, my guess is that they'll be using Bay Area USA sanctioned boxing officials. Not judges. I dunno who's gonna ref this thing. But home crowd oakland? Sheesh. The way the Raiders are going, the "O" needs a victory somewhere.

I'd like to think they'll be fair... atleast alot more fair than the judges in the Dirrell-Froch fight which Dirrell clearly won. However I think that if Kessler wins its by knock out, He punches alot harder than Ward and from what I heard Ward has a bit of a shaky chin. But I think Ward is a better, faster and more versatile boxer. So imma say its either Kessler by KO or Ward by Decison.

The only reason Dirrell lost the fight was that he let the whole super six billing and the equal treatment it afforded everyone mask the fact that he was the challenger, if he had remembered that he was the challenger for a belt, he could have tweaked his tactics and won. Unfortunately, whether you agree with it or not, the Judges factor in that one fighter is the champion and very close rounds that they might normally give to a fighter tend to be counted as drawn rounds. Dirrell fought like he was already the champion, if he had of been then the scores would have been different. You may not agree with it, but I am sure that is what cost him, on a plus side, he will not make the same mistake again if he is smart and that can only make him a better fighter in the future.
