Will the officials in Oakland be fair to Kessler?

Mikkel Kessler is a very worthy champion who has wins over Mundine, Beyer, Andrade and Sartison, and who's only loss was to Calzaghe...not to mention a class act who is a true sportsman and gentleman. I'll be rooting for the Viking Warrior this Saturday, and I'm confident he won't be needing the judges scorecards!

Bat hits the nail on the head again, you've got to rip a title off of someone. Dirrell thought he could do a Bernard Hopkins 'Howard Eastman' on Froch, but forgot that, unlike Bernard he wasn't the champion. If you flip the Froc Dirrell argument around and Dirrell went into it as the champ., the close rounds he backpeddled in would hae gone to him as Froch would be the challenger not doing enough to engage him.Comment

Fair points although I'd put money on the uppercuts he hit Calzaghe with KOing most other fighters in the division.and i can say that my bias is that ive only seen 3 kessler fights where ive seen 5-6 ward fights and in each kessler fight match went to dec. If I'm wrong its bc mk doesnt get shown stateside so often. I think he is good and according to experience and records he should win but in the ring we will see
I think we all get into this US / Europe thing and forget that this should be a great fight.Comment

The other factor in this fight is the elephant in the room called Calzaghe, who bar Floyd seems to split opinion more than any other fighter. You therefore have a bunch of posters in both camps willing the fight to go one way or the other - less for the protagonists and more to strengthen their own arguments in the next 'legacy' thread that will come along.
The stakes are really high, especially if the win is a brutal ko one way or the other. If Ward won by ko (unlikely) guys like Scott Gilfoid might actually drown in their own jizzComment
