Nope never. If there is someone who is fast or a good counter puncher, Cotto gets beat.

Now the Cotto that fought Mosley would at least have a better chance of beating Pacquiao and would definetly beat most of the guys at welter.

The Cotto that fought Mosley knew he was getting in the ring with someone bigger, who had fought bigger guys, and was known to be faster, so Cotto jabbed him and boxed catiously save for some short moments.

On the other hand, Cotto thought he could bully Pacquiao into submission, and save for the first round, and the 8th and 9th, where he was already on his heels anyway, Cotto started to trade with him, and that was his downfall.

Thats not smart, and this version of Cotto would lose against any fighter with smart trainers. I think Pacquiao's history of fighting smaller men influenced heavily his decision and gameplan in the Pacquiao fight.

Before the Clottey fight I used to like Cotto alot.

After the Clottey fight I felt as tho Clottey was robbed and Cotto was a Dirty fighter.

I gained alot more respect for Cotto after the Pacman loss.

I feel as tho Cotto knew he was in a no win situation and didnt fight as his regular self either

i think u can make a claim Cotto got a gift , but the first person that gave him the gift was Clottey , It was his fight to take , even tho I didnt agree with some of the scorecards , U gotta look at it this way , Cotto had 4 rounds that were OBVIOUS , obvious as in, commentators , fans and judges , scored for him for sure , and those were , the 1 , 10 , 11 , 12 , and the 7th were he put Clottey against the ropes , makes it 5 , with one of those being a 10-8 round because of the knockdown , and Im not even mentioning any other close round that could have gone to either one. And considering Clottey is so fast and so strong , and has that tight defense , and Cotto had that big cut over his eye , is impressive what he was able to do , and Clottey had the right stuff to win that fight even by stopage , but he got no heart and obviously no hunger , If anybody had him winning that fight , It was at most by 2 points , and It could have gone either way. So please stop saying he got robbed , he gave the fight of his life away , and Cotto knew what was at stake if he lost. and just took the fight by fighting smart.

Cotto did better then I predicted (I had Pac KOing him in 3...it almost happened) and he was doing great for the first 2 rounds. He did exactly what he should have done up to that point. Then Pac caught him and changed the fight. Cotto doesnt suck at all. He lost to a guy who had his number, but he also exposed the fact yet again that Pac is beatable. It just so happens Floyd is great at that style.

It's funny how people write Miguel Cotto off after 2 losses. This bull**** needs to stop. Miguel Cotto does not suck. He's an excellent fighter who fought two of the best within those 2 losses.
