Cotto is a hell of a fighter , and will go down as top 25 ww of all times imo , He lost , but he only lost to what some people consider the 2 biggest boxer of all times , and even if that isnt entirely the case of Pac being the secong best of all time , he is a beast regardless , and that speaks volumes , IMO and I know this might bring some controversy , Cotto still has the tools to beat Manny , Look at the first round , He fought smart , And yes Manny's speed overwhelmed him , but he showed that he knew what needed to be done to neutralize it for the most part , cuz even tho we all know Pac has a warriors heart , and he will engage in an exchange , Cotto had the IQ to neutralize it for 1 round , With a better corner , and a better executed plan and patience the fight would have prob been a lot closer in the score cards. The second round , is where he acually got ****y and thought Pac was going to get scared, If he would have kept his cool and be patient and pick his spots , Manny would have gotten counter a lot more , and he would have missed a lot more. The outcome could have been the same , but it also could have been very different , I was surprised about him faking not being hurt , And how bad his face actually ended up , If Cotto would have landed Ill say 20 more shots , in the beggining rounds , Whole different story!!! IMO ,

But seriously , whoever says Cotto is shot , or is not elite , they are crazy , He needs a new trainer , He needs to recognize that against the best , you just cant go out there and expect to hurt them that easy. He still got plenty left , Pac's speed was too much , but who else brings those angles and that speed combined with the explisiveness and workrate. He actually stood his ground and had his moments in the fight And Pac admitted he hits hard. And he took them like nothing , thats what impressed me the most.

Fought the best at WW, well Floyd fought the best at Super Featherweight and did he get credit for that? Least you can do is fight the best in your natural weight class.

Before the Clottey fight I used to like Cotto alot.

After the Clottey fight I felt as tho Clottey was robbed and Cotto was a Dirty fighter.

I gained alot more respect for Cotto after the Pacman loss.

I feel as tho Cotto knew he was in a no win situation and didnt fight as his regular self either
