first off im not on pacs nuts...
just reading OP statements and i cant disagree more when i read
But when he says one demensional, i know what he means. Pacs diversity and angles are almost entirely offensive, and most of them come from when an opponent is stationary and attempting to trade.Comment

true cotto was doing fine boxing but the damage was done early on...
Floyd is going to use that blueprintComment

this is malarky, he ducks a left hook and drops hatton w/a right hook of his own, pretty much did the same thing to cotto on the first knockdown. his defense created that offense. As far as him needing stationary targets, well thats even more BS. he counters so effectively that his opponents tend to freeze up and not want to exchange because the dont want to be the highlight reel on espn. Pretty much what happened to DLH and cotto they became stationary they didnt start the fight that way. If you watched the fight roach was screaming at manny to stick to the plan dont fight cottos fight, well he fought the way cotto wanted to and beat him at his own game he did exactly what most people said he couldnt. There is nothing one dimensional about that...
....lol @ hattons left hook. Come on man. Thats the same left that Mayweather saw 6 feet away before he threw him into that tecate post. You honestly going to tell me hatton/Dlh WERENT stationary targets? When cotto moved, what did pac do other than wait for him to slow down?Comment

I think you are correct in what you are saying though, if Mayweather is to employ an effective strategy then i guess it would be to exploit Pacquiao's weaker points, and id agree that cutting the ring down is one of them.
Speaking in optimism i guess Manny might be able to take heart from the fact that Floyd does not move consistently for the majority of the fight, that he is usually looking for a way to take it easy when he can, if Pacquiao can drive him around the ring more so than let him move around the ring i guess he could make him expend more energy moving than he wants to, then Manny could possible catch upto him late, also Mayweather might be reluctant at times to move in and counter when on the backfoot because of Manny's power hand( the left)
Hatton, DLH did not seem to have all that much trouble cutting the ring off against Mayweather, that said its been argued by Mayweather fans that Mayeather let them.Comment

You know mayweather very well judging by youre previous post. one thing you have to agree with, in the ring, he has alot of heart and he doesnt give up. if hes behind, he will not back down. he didint against castillo in the late rounds (when he went toe to toe in the 11th by leaning right on him) and didint against chavez like you mentioned. Id like nothing more than to see that mayweather come out again. Nobody can argue that in the ring mayweather just throws his hands in the air and gives up, that guy will do whatever it takes to win if hes behind.Comment

great thread btw, great observation. pac doesnt have any experience against guys who can move well, not saying pac was scared of nobody or ducked nobody. but i think there was a reason arum never put him in there with raheem, guzman, casamayor etc. he knew it was a bad styles matchup for pac, pac has flaws and floyd is not only complete himself but he has the ability to not only find flaws in his oponents but capitalize fully. and if he has problems of his own he can adjust and change it up.Comment

floyd has good d against slow fighters that throw a couple of shots but how is he going to defend against the unprdictable offence, speed and combination punching from pac. intelligent pressure will beat floyd and pac is the best in the sport. remember castillos pressure, now imagine that was pac with speed and crisper punching.Comment
