I dont think either ducked each other, I don't think it was the most lucrative fight for either at the time. When Mayweather was coming up and Mosley was on TOP, Mosley went to 147lbs and ignored him to fight the $$$$$ De La Hoya. Then recently they couldve fought but Mayweather went for the $$$$$$ fight vs de la hoya. Seems like they both avoided each other

and Freddie Roach said they would ONLY fight Shane Mosley @140lbs. When Shane said OK, they turned around and said Mosley wasnt an option, so is Pac ducking Shane? We must be fair to the fighters and the decisions they make. We all know once you reach the elite level its about money.....

      The REAL P4P King!!!

Let me tell you non-boxing (at least some of you) knowledge people something.

Just like Floyd said, "Aint nothing cool about taking punishment". Now you have critics suggesting Cotto should retire cuz of all the wars he's been in. And since Floyd out boxes his opponents, he's healthy and not all battered. Remember it's called "boxing", not slugging. You want to see that stuff go watch MMA.

Don't get me wrong, Manny has done an exceptional job with his career. But when you mention Floyd, he's on another level by himself. No one out there, currently can beat him at 147lb. Bottom line.

So why does his body need to heal with a retirement?

        oh nevermind,

that was just another excuse to avoid the top welters at the time.

So what you are telling me is that Ricky Hatton (who weighs 180lbs in between fights) and who had over 40 fights @140lbs throughout his career was unable to weight 145lbs vs Mayweather and be effective? He was overweight @145lbs?.......................................... .............

          yeah ok

The past is the past, why are we not focusing on the future? Mayweather said he wants to fight Manny, lets look forward to that match up.

He is on another level based solely on talent or recent opposition? If you say recent opposition then name names....welterweight names?

                lol,

now that the shoe is on the other foot,

suddenly *****s don't want to care about whos done what and who beat who.

                Quick turnaround.

Not surprising since *****s are just as contradicting as the **** they follow.

                    Nah, chale.

Lets rip a page out of Mayweathers book and play the game like you guys do.

Mayweathers entire story is based on, "the past".

"who else won 5 divisions in 10 years?"
                    "he has # losses"
                    "he did steroids"
"he got beat by so and so"

Saying you want to fight and actually doing it, at least in recent years have seemed to be in opposition as it relates to Floyd.

Manny does what a fighter is supposed to do, he signs the contract, gets in the ring and becomes a living legend along the way. He isn't saying "I gotta talk to Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe"..."you know all roads lead to Floyd Mayweather who else can do my numbers like I did with Oscar and Ricky Hatton", we already know Floyd's playbook and it's become tiresome.
