Clottey makes you look bad because he has such a good defense and he is a very accurate puncher. However, as is the case with a lot of boxers who go for accurate punches it means his punch count is less, which is basically why he lost the fight. But it was very close i had Cotto edging it only just.

I've watched plenty of Clottey's fights. He's been in very competitive fights and plenty of boxers have looked "good" against him at moments. Clottey made Cotto look like garbage, because Cotto was in fact garbage after Margarito destroyed him.

Clottey out-boxed Cotto and made him run. He has average power and never sits down on his punches due to his fragile hands. Pacquiao was being outboxed by Cotto, until his cracked chin got tagged and after that he lost all confidence and started to run from the ghost of Margarito, just like he did against Clottey.

It appears Margarito took his soul. Looking back at this fight now, you'd have to be a complete fool to think Cotto could compete at the elite level anymore, let alone against the p4p1 fighter of the world at a catch-weight.

Clottey beat the crap out of Cotto and got robbed!
That fight looks exactly like Pacquiao vs Cotto, except Clottey never got out-boxed at any point in the right, while Cotto was out-boxing Pacquiao for 3 rounds before his cracked chin got touched. If Mosley were able to rematch that version of Cotto, he would have destroyed him worse than he did to Margarito. Clottey is known as a "mild" punching welterweight, which is why Cotto was able to make it to the final bell. Roach said Cotto was shot and it's hard to dispute that if you watch the video without bias.
