i don't see this happening at all. floyd has a really good chance at winning with his usual style. why would he change now for one of the biggest fight of his career? we all know floyd doesn't take risks. floyd cruises to a boring decision by running, countering, and pot shotting.

Nice post, brother. I agree with much of what you say. I think I even learned a couple of things. But I don't buy your prediction of how Floyd will handle a fight with Pacquiao. On that point, I'm with Phoetoe.

A leopard doesn't change its spots (in this case, a cheetah?). Mayweather is a defensive fighter by design. He's cautious by nature. He will stick to what has always worked for him and have a plan "B" in reserve. When you think about it, what reason does he really have to change a winning formula? Beyond that, it's just too risky to try something that radical (for Floyd) against a fighter of Manny's caliber. Again, Mayweather's just too cautious for that.

Before last night's fight, I thought PBF would cruise to a fairly uneventful decision against Pac. After the beating that Manny tossed Cotto, I'm not so sure. I keep thinking about a shot Marquez landed early in his fight with Floyd. Mayweather just smiled. One good crack like that by Pacquiao could literally alter the course of the fight and, indeed, the outcome. Granted, that shot may never land, but twelve rounds are a long time to avoid getting tagged.
