My Honest Thoughts On How The Floyd-Pac Fights Plays Out!

I again just rewatched the Cotto fight. I however, always stop it about 6 rounds in. You would probably think I would watch the last 5 rounds or so because you assume thats how Floyd is going to fight Pac. Again, I think everyone is so far off. I honestly 100% beleive he is going to go after Pac and I beleive it even moreso now after watching the replay a few times.

1st of all Floyd has some nice height to him. Even Cotto in that 1st round looked like he was looking down on Pac at times and he was doing great coming after Pac and attacking with the jab. Floyd is a little taller than Cotto so I say Floyd will be looking down at Pac. Floyd has a great jab but goes long stretches without using it. Still, against Southpaws he uses it alot and he will use it more with Senior being back. I actually think he's going to come out from the opening bell and take the fight right at Pac. I swear I do. I think he's going to come standing tall and throwing that long jab over Pac's right, and then turning it over alot of times and using it as a hook like he does.

Cotto had the height but if you watch the fight, Cotto was crouching down and bending his head forward alot. It was dumb. Pac was eating him up with uppercuts and short inside punches. Floyd doesnt do that. Floyd stands tall like a HW and if he leans forward any, he's deep behind his gloves. Again, I dont think he will use his normal style D much. I think he will use it some but most of the night he will fight behind the high guard. Again, this takes away some of your power on O because you dont get to load up but it makes you faster because your hands are already in front of your face so its easy to get from point A to point B.

Pac is a beast and he has 2 hands now but he still hasnt changed much at all from the guy who fought JMM and looks like an amature at time. To me its like Tito. He kills cats so everyone thinks he's a good but when he fights a real skillful guy then you see how flawed he really is. Thats why I keep telling people that JMM will still give him hell. Do you really think these guys he's been beating are super skillful? None of them are. I swear I think Floyd is going to make him look like Naz did against MAB. If you really rewatch the Cotto fight, Pac's balance is horrible. He throws pretty much every punch off balance. People just look at the flip side and say that he's throwing punches from all angles but he's doing that because he's off balanced. Floyd will take advantage of that so easily all night.

People think Im crazy about Floyd going toe to toe because they just think Pac is so much stronger and hits so much harder but toe to toe isnt just about power. Its also about skill. Thats why I think Floyd will go right at him. His overall skill level is light years ahead of Pac. If he puts the pressure on Pac then what can Pac really do? He's not nearly as good going backwards and he wont land all those crazy shots on Floyd that he's landing on others. I mean its a joke the kind of D these cats have. One huge thing to me is the speed factor. Alot of people will say that Pac is faster than Floyd but the thing is that Pac hasnt fought anyone with speed ever and Floyd has. Thats a much bigger deal than people think and sparring Khan & Porter wont be enough to simulate that.

Then when you really break down the speed, I still think Floyd is 10x faster if you are a good fighter. By that I mean that Pac is super fast but its just normal speed stuff. Thats what Senior always says about him but people dont get it. He's fast but he's just throwing shots as fast as he can. Thats not boxing. These other guys cant take advantage of that but Floyd can. He's not going to get hit just because Pac has speed. He's throwing all the punches back to back. To me that stuff is easy to block or move away from. Floyd has speed but he has speed with skill & timing and thats a much harder thing to deal with. Pac isnt use to someone standing at one spot then quickly throwing a hook over his jab while he's circling.

Pac is a beast but if you rewatch that fight, it was so weird. Pac was turning sideways alot and even threw some punches while he was standing on Cotto's side. It's so amatureish looking. Its like he does anything to throw a punch. He leaps in alot and is badly off balance. Floyd will eat that up with his superior technique and fundementals. I have 2 real worries for Floyd. Pac is a Southpaw so he could still catch Floyd with a big punch and Floyd has looked nervous early in these big money PPV fights. Pac is the same Pac all day every day and he's going to start fast. Floyd was also like that until the Oscar fight. Since then he has looked nervous in the first couple of rounds and its easy for him to get off balance. Like the stage is too big for him and he needs a few rounds to get going.

Thats why I keep saying that this is a 3-4 round fight to me and its all about Pac. Pac has to either stop Floyd in those first few rounds or he has to hurt him bad enough to where Floyd stays dazed a long time. Even if Pac is just winning, that wont be enough. Even if he wins like the first 3 rounds and lands some hard clean shots but nothing that dazes Floyd, the fight is still over. Floyd will figure him out after that and he wont even come close to winning another round and thats the best case scenerio. The worst is that Floyd isnt nevous or overwhelmed at the start and comes out with that jab and fighting tall. If that happeneds then Pac doesnt even come close to winning 1 round all night and he gets embarrased and destroyed before probably getting stopped or just flat out looking inferior with no chance to win.

In some ways its going to suck because I could see some haterz saying that Floyd was too big for him after the see the way he's standing tall over him, backing him up, throwing that jab over the top, and just making Pac look ******. The truth is that he has always been superior to Pac in terms of skill. This will not be Floyd running and this wont be Floyd moving & boxing. He's going to go after Pac and try to walk him down. I know it. If you watch there fights then you can see it coming. He's actually going to be the one putting mad pressure on Pac and its going to look bad because Pac is going to be countering alot but Floyd is going to be blocking everything with the high guard or just easily stepping out while Pac will lose his balance alot and Floyd will be repeatedly snapping his head back and owning him with body shots. Pac wont be as fast late because Floyd will keep that body attack going all fight long. Then its going to also look bad because Floyd is going to have all those shots that make the crow go ooh. Thats going to happened because of his tecnhinque and the fact that Pac is so sloppy.

Then where would people rate Floyd? Its going to be such a crazy deal because everyone is acting like Pac is the GOAT now or close to it but he's not going to only lose to Floyd, he's going to get flat out embarrased like Naz or Tito and I actually think it will be worst. I actually think we will see threads on here asking who was more competitive against Floyd? Pac or JMM? Then you will hear alot of people saying that JMM would beat Pac after 1st saying that Pac would kill JMM now. I said the whole time that Floyd is the worst matchup in all of boxing for JMM and that he's also by far the worst matchup in boxing for Pac. Seriously, you guys are going to completely overlook how sloppy & off balanced he gets and act like that is no factor?

However, Pac is also one of the few guys who has a chance of beating Floyd because he could still possibly catch him with some Southpaw **** early. Floyd has been caught by other southpaws in Chop & Zab so thats why people think Pac will give him trouble but those guys are also much more skillful guys than Pac and have much more of that timing blazing speed than Pac like I was talking about earlier. I actually think Floyd will have a much easier time with Pac than he did with Zab & Chop because even though Pac is better, there skill was big in the fight against Floyd. Pac doesnt have there pure boxing skill level. Its going to be bad, seriously. Its a 3-4 round fight and if Pac doesnt stop him in that time or have him badly hurt then he is done and I think Floyd may dominate straight from the jump

War and Floyd doesn't belong in the same sentence. More of Run Floyd.

Didn't he knock gatti down in the 1st?

Then again, that was still a pretty cautious round. He basically just took advantage of gatti not protecting himself at all times.

                    So yeah ; Sharmba.
