    I'm torn.

Pac called him out in the middle of the ring, told him to stop running on a couple of occasions and he still did. Contrast that to Morales who didn't need to be called out. The man went out guns blazin, firing back on wobbly legs. This was suppose to be war. Kinda reminded me of Barerra's 2nd fight versus Pacquiao. Just wanted to see the final bell.

On the other hand, you have to do whatever it takes to win and if you're bets chance is to catch him with a big shot, then you take it.

Still, had he gone out of his shield, it would have elevated this fight to heights ala Hagler-Hearns. That's finding victory in a loss.

The fact that Cotto brawled w/ a beast like Pacquiao makes him a warrior...He got hurt, his family was watching.....He's a warrior for fighting the best welterweights out there...

He brawled in the middle of the ring for 4 rounds so he is a warrior??
Right.... What about the other 8 when he ran?? So he was a warrior for 4 rounds and a coward for 8 rounds... Do the math....

Again, he was hurt and his family was watching....He knows that Pacquiao is too much for him...Why the hell will he risk getting a career ending injury like Z Gorres?(see my signature below). An ordinary fighter would have quit after round 6....

Actually he brawled with him until the ending of round 7. Which cost him two knockdowns almost three he was probably better boxing from the start or doing what he did in round one which was jab and counter.

I agree with this statement 100%!!!

Even DLH didn't run from Pac.

I'm sorry but in comparison to the warriors that have come before Cotto, I just don't feel he measures up to warrior status.

I feel he is a start boxer, but doesn't have the greatest resolve in the game.

Cotto IS a warrior....a proud warrior......besides that he's a better than average human being!!.....I guess narrow souls fail to see the TRUE beauty of courage!!.....Cotto came out for the last round......remember that before you say he lost his warrior stripes!!....remember that!!

Cotto is a warrior. Just because he started avoiding Manny after the 8th round doesn't make him any less of a warrior. If anything that was smart. He knew Manny would knock him out if he tries to exchange again and he might even get hurt badly. IMO, they should've stopped the fight after the 9th round and i'm glad the ref stopped it immedietly on the 12th when Manny caught up with Cotto, who knows how badly it could've ended. OTOH, Mayweather is not a warrior, he starts running from the begining of the fight up till the end, defensive strategy my ass, he's just a fvking *****, that's all there is to it.

What he did was sensible. I actually felt that if he tried outboxing Pacquiao in the first set of rounds he'd have done better for himself he got himself too rattled on the inside.

If he took the warrior approach as you say, he would have been murdered, he tried blasting him in the first four rounds and it left him open to well placed spiteful punches. Look at the second knock down.
