  • Is "Ring Mag", The Bible of Boxing a DLH Nhugger?

I just bought the latest edition of Ring Mag and Joe "Santiloquita" made the statement that every boxing fan was waiting to hear "All of the battles he's fought haven't diminished Oscars de la Hoya's good looks" What the heck is that! Then I check the ratings and DLH is 2nd, Tito 4th. How can two fighters that fought the same opponnent and fought between themselves and the one that did better is rated worse. I am biased, of course I am a fan, but how Ring Mag does the ratings, its beyond my comprehension. Boxrec has a more realistic rating IMO.

    Ay dios mio

Okay....Moonra"bochinche"69....just cuz ONE of Ring Mag's writers decides to comment on DLH's unblemished faced doesn't mean the whole mag is biased in DLH's favor. In fact only serious TITO nuthuggers such as yourself have to look at everystory to get at the Golden Boy! Don't hate becuase you have a tainted victory over him!!! Oh and Inactivity has more to do with Ring's rating of DLH over Trinidad.... Mayorga was a bloated welterwieght and a drunk punching bag, Cherifi was crap....Strum was a very underated fighter with piston like jab, and Hopkins is the king of Boxing....Edge DLH for quality of opposition over the last 2 fights.....Believe that.....

Tito sucks..... cuz of biased fans like you and your cohorts!!

"umblemished face" Are you in love? I am sorry to inform you that DLH is married to a puertorrican, tito's advice after he defeated him.

I honestly don't like The Ring that much I think their are better boxing magazines out for sale. I just go on the internet for boxing articles.

Overall DLH is better than Tito. That's just obvious. All Tito has over anybody is power, except Mayorga, who Tito does possess greater skill against. Tito has SOME boxing ability, but doesn't use it enough. DLH did better against Hopkins than Tito. At least DLH put up a better effort.

Not saying Hopkins didn't destroy both. He clearly did. And I picked Tito over Hopkins. It was hard not to after watching the Joppy fight.

Love the Cherifi fight. Going to use that clip and a Hakkar clip in a French paper I'm doing this semester. Going to open up with why I didn't do a paper on French boxing. Had planned on using Braithewaite knocking out Mormeck as well...but things didn't turn out right for me.

I believe Oscar did better than Tito against Hopkins. De La Hya won at least three rounds against Hopkins while Tito may have won round. Only because Tito was more suited to the weight did he last till the 12th round and i think Hopkins could have taken Tito sooner if he hadn`t have played safe throughout the fight.
Also, i rank a victory over Strum more than a victory over a welter Mayorga. Oscar should be rated higher than the semi retired Tito!

It's funny how everyone says that Mayorga was a blown up welterweight and tailor made for Tito now but before the fight everyone was saying how dangerous he was for a comeback fight. I told everyone that it would be an easy fight for Tito but I was off by two rounds with the knockout. I picked Tito by 6th round stoppage which he almost did stop Mayorga in the 6th round.

As far as Hopkins goes neither of them did all that great. Hopkins allowed Oscar to be in the fight with the way he was fighting. I think he could of beaten Oscar just as easily as he beat Tito.

Yah I really don't like the way Ring Mag ranks fighters.

Yeah seriously, what kind of dumbass rates a fighter based on his most recent accomplishments? What a terrible magazine.
