How Will Pac Deal With Floyd's Speed?

It will shock Manny. Just like everyone has been underestimating Pac and he wins, everyone will underestimate Floyd and they will see him in full gear. He will outclass Manny. There is no way Floyd is going to allow Manny to throw all those combinations, and he will not try and slug with him either. Boxers give Manny problems and Floyd is a the best at boxing. Wrong from Manny as far as styles.Yeah and on top of that, Pac has been dominating but if you compare all of his last opponents to Floyd in terms of speed, it will be a night & day fight. Cotto, Oscar, Hatton, Diaz, JMM, MAB, and so on? Its not even close. It may not hold alot of weight but I do think it could shock Pac someComment

"How will Pac deal with Floyd's running? Is this what you mean? This is a real talk thread so dont come in here just to talk smack. I mean this question in a serious way. I ask this because when the Pac-Cotto fight started, the whole HBO team asked about that. They said that Cotto is probably the fastest guy Pac has faced. They said JMM is probably the fastest guy he's fought and he's not even a speed guy. Thats why they thought Cotto had some success early.
Alot of people just look at it like Pac has mad speed so its no problem but its still different when youre in the ring with another super fast guy. You can say what you want about Floyd's opponents but he's recently fought 3 Southpaws in Mitchell, Corley, Zab, and all of them were very fast guys. Pac can spar with Porter & Khan but its still not the same as a real fight. Alot of people think Pac is the faster guy. That can be debated but Floyd has fought other fast guys in the ring and Pac hasnt. They said that last night about Cotto. They said that he's fought fast guys like Mosley & Zab so Pac wont scare him. We found out differently as the fight went on but even with that, Cotto is still a slow guy. Floyd isnt. Do you think that might trouble Pac in any way.
Again, I just watched Floyd Zab and the speed of that matchup was crazy. Pac has never had a fight like that where both guys were super fast and super quick. Floyd is quick with movement, quick with punches, and quick with his D. I think that could trouble Pac someComment

pretty much. you know floyd's going to use every square inch of the ring to maintain distance. and the one thing floyd can do, and do well, is fight going backwards, especially against more aggressive lunging fighters. Ask Ricky Hatton.Comment

If Floyd does not jab, and only pot shots, then he will do fine. Pac said he wanted to test Cotto's power early on, and when he didn't feel it, he started to chase him down. This is a real talk thread so dont come in here just to talk smack. Speed will trouble Pac, but he's someone that not only is fast, but he throws a lot of pucnhes, and for 12 rounds. Floyd will have to work his ass off to get a UD because Pac is accurate and throws from so many angles that he can have success.
Floyd respected Zab's power and sopeed for the first 4 rounds, but then he started countering and Zab does not have a game plan B. This is where I think that Floyd will have trouble with the workrate.
Pac is not that easy to hit, and he always comes back with something if you hit him. He can go 12 rounds and has a solid chin.
He should be able to deal with speed and Roach has enough people in there that he can spar with. Amir Khan for 1 is extremely fast and I did see Pac struggle with him in one training clip, but then like always Pac learns to adjust and started to improve and get the better of him.
Floyd's speed, angles and accuracy wins him fights, but Pac has speed, power, accuracy, angles and workrate which kills.Comment

I co-sign to this, though i see this fight as a 50-50 chance for both fighters. Floyd can win if he uses he's reach advantage and potshots till the 12th round, but manny will eventually catch him, manny may take some shots but will eventually win it with workrate. I know that floyd is quick with his feet but the slow and fat marquez were able to caught him somehow in some brilliant moments. So i could imagine manny doing better. One more thing, floyd walk through marquez flush shots, manny walk through the same shots, but now with the extra weight manny walk through cotto's shots. I can't say the same with floyd since they havn't fought yet, but the closest is zab, and floyd didn't do quite well when zab caught him a couple of times. And if you gauge now manny's power, manny kd'd cotto two times, zab wasn't able to do that to cotto. As mike tyson always say, you may have all the gameplans but it all changes once you get hit..If Floyd does not jab, and only pot shots, then he will do fine. Pac said he wanted to test Cotto's power early on, and when he didn't feel it, he started to chase him down.
