I've got a feeling Cotto will be fighting Hatton in the near future.

      take some time off.

take a fight or two against less than great competition just to get his mojo back.

see where he goes from there.

At this point in his career, it's about 95% mental and 5% physical. By no means is cotto a shot fighter. He just doesnt have the same confidence he once had before the Margarito fight. Him running against a smaller man in Pacquiao is proof.

Coto is only 29, and does have a second act if he takes a good year off, while staying in shape, and just watching boxing. I think Cotto needs a defensive wiz like Bro. ****m way more than he needs Nacho. Cotto needs a trainer that he CAN'T tell what to do, and that's why I think Nacho would be a poor choice.

yea, if Cotto does 2010 in the right way, i bet you my balls, he could make a huge comeback and be make big fights. (but he needs tune-ups and a new trainer)

he needs to play his cards right

getting Roach as a trainer is an interesting idea because isn't Roach training Margarito now?

he shouldn't have a big name fight for 2010, just tune-ups to get his rhythm back

I don't think this loss has anything to do with the trainer...

But this is what will need to happen to help get him more big fights in the future.

no no no no cotto has peaked and if you look back even the fights he won were wars, he just taken too many beatings hes trigger shy already and wilts under sustained attack ,people need to know when a fighter has had enough and cotto clearly has. it was a well known fact that after margarito cotto wasnt the same ,even before then he was in war after war,no its time for cotto to pack it in.he showed flashes of brilliance lastnight may have been a better fight when cotto was at his peak , but its over now.
