Maybe it is over for Cotto. I would be sad to see him retire because he is my favorite active fighter after Roy but if he can't compete on the highest level maybe it's time to go.
If it's still in his heart to fight i think he should take some time of and then go slow and build him self up before taking on a top fighter again.

If Floyd-Pac goes through fight the winner of Berto-Mosley...

He'll probably fight some low level welterweight and then try to challenge for a different belt in the division late next year...

So what does NSB think the best option out there for Cotto is at the moment?

Personally, I think the smartest option would be to try to get the loser OR winner of Berto-Mosley in a fight next summer. If he wins, go from there...but if he lost it would probably be time to hang em up.
        1) GET A NEW TRAINER

        2) FIGHT 3-4 TUNE UPS

Hey, you were the one that said Cotto shouldn't lose to a former 106 pounder. You made the ****** ass claim dummy, all that **** you just typed is going right back to you. You never gave Manny a chance... 90% of us did, you're just making yourself look worse than you did two days ago.

Cotto should seriously consider training under Roach. Didnt roach say at one point eh wanted to train Miguel?

Cotto needs some time off and a real trainer.

I agree 100%. In the last 3 years he's been in the ring with Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey and now Pacman. With only 1 legit loss in there, the guy is a great fighter, but its time get the batteries recharged and change things up.

Downhill I reckon, this will be tough to come back from. Not even just this but he has gotten roughed up in his last 3 important fights and he took a bunch of punishment before those fights.

He had a good run but someone can only take so much and I have to think those things are really starting to add up.

Take a year layoff and fight Hatton for money and gettin the confidence back. Then see what the WW landscape looks like. If impressive after Hatton fight, rematch Margarito, then if it goes well, why not a fight between him and Pacquiao VS Mayweather winner( if Floyd accepts to fight Pacquiao)?
There are a lot of if but it could only happen under a great trainer like Steward or Evangelista.

Get Steward for a trainer and stay away from guys that either are his size or have good stamina.

That sucks balls, if you hire Stewart you want some results and you wanna be ready to fight the best again. Cotto beat Mosley but i wonder if he can fight like that again. Maybe Pacquiao, Margarito and Clottey took everything away from him(both mentally and physically).
