People get excited coz its d first bit od greatness dey ever seen.... But in d 80z, pac would'nt have been soo great...
In the 80s he would also be great. The reason everyone is talking about Pac is NOT because he is the greatest welterweight of all-time or even the last 30 years. It's the fact that a bantanweight-lightweight moved up in weight and beat a quality welterweight (after having destroyed de la Hoya and Hatton). Duran was considered great in the 80s and he didn't have the best record at welterweight.

Would Pac defeat Sugar Ray probably not, but I think he would do well against Hearns. I think Pac's speed would neutralize Hearn's reach. No way could Pac defeat the middleweight Hagler.

DUde, Hagler was basically a manlet. Pac would could trouble him a bit. No way does his speed offset Hearn's reach. Hearns was a monster.

Hearn's chin was not the best (not glass but it was a weak point); he also got hit a lot from all sorts of angles, example the Iran Barkley KO.

I'm not saying that I favor Pac over Hearns only that out of the three I think his best chance is against Hearns; the Leonard fight would also be great but I give Leonard a better chance than Hearns. Hagler was a middleweight. Pac has no chance against a quality middleweight.

After all Pacman is a featherweight/ lightweight. Just beating a quality welterweight is an accomplishment in itself.

It doesnt matter about weights, as mike tyson said in a recent UK interview, If you can fight(properly) it doesnt matter how big you are..... Its gonna show in the fight

Pacquiao is a short man, but really hes a MASSIVE Man!! Hes the boss over soo many taller guys..

The same as heavyweight boxing, theres up to 100 pounds difference
