Serious question, if (and a BIG if) Pac stops Floyd, where do you rank him ALL TIME?

Pac to get higher than ten to twenty would absolutely need to beat Mayweather. He is the only fighter that can really show that Pac is an ATG worthy of being any higher than ten to twenty.

To get that high you need to beat another fighter that is an ATG. Cotto isn't. It was an amazing win and it shot Pac to true ATG status but it doesn't mean he beat another ATG.
He doesnt need to fight floyd to cement his legacy of the best of his era. Floyd is a great fighter, but doesnt fight enough. Floyd is a fighter, rightly or wrongly, who is synonymous with avoiding challenges whereas Pacquiao actively seeks them out and stays busy. Its got to the point now where Floyd would have to do a lot more than just beat Pac to even be considered anywhere near him in terms of status.

I respect your opinion btw,but this is mine.

Agree completely. Right now Pac is entering the TOP 20 ATG category. If he beats Mayweather who, like him or not, is a defensive genius it would catapult Pac up to TOP 10 and contending for TOP 5. He would definately be a contender for the best fighter of the last 40 years: Arguello, Duran, Chavez, Pryor, Sugar Ray Leonard, Whitaker, Hagler, Hopkins, Jones, Tyson.

What makes Pac impressive to me -- in addition to moving up in weight -- is that he changed from a brawler to a boxer. Imagine if Gatti, with his chin and heart became a talented boxer; that he actually learned to box at the highest level and not rely on his chin and his toughness to win a fight.

NUMBER ONE of all time is pushing it. There are SO many great fighters. It's hard to compare between eras. How would the greats Ketchel, Ross, Greb have done if they had 3 months between fights to rest up and heal and prepare for the next fight; if they could study video and train for their upcoming fight. On the other hand how would Mayweather do if there was no video and he fought every two or three weeks?
