i dont ****in get how fighters now a days are thinking of the pound for pound title!!! they think that if they fight whoever is regarded as the champ for that title, they would automatically become the pound for pound best!??

NOOOOO!!!! pound for pound was created to determine who is the best fighter REGARDLESS OF WEIGHT CLASS!!!...pacquiao actually started his career at age 16 (which isnt legal, but he lied) and he had to put pieces of metal in his pockets, which gave him those extra pounds to qualify for the flyweight title!!!

basically to these idiots...he rose from the FLYWEIGHT DIVISION- all the way up to the WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION, and has titles in 6 WEIGHT CLASSES!!!
his title fight for the 7th DIVISION is the first time anything like this has been attempted!!! jeez!!!

if u need another example for instance....thats like saying when Roy Jones Jr went up to heavyweight to challenge John Ruiz for a heavyweight championship, IF JOHN RUIZ HAD ACTUALLY BEATEN JONES JR....THEN WOULD YOU GUYS CONSIDER HIM THE POUND FOR POUND CHAMPION!!!???

You sound just like someone who goes along with the consensus and doesn't really know boxing, I didn't say that he was competing equally I said he was not being completely dominated there is a difference, many fighters have come back from devastating kos hearns, duran, jones twice, taylor twice and he may make it 3, vargas, norris, and the list goes on.

They may have not been the same after returning from those ko losses but they all made respectable comebacks and won titles in many cases, im not saying he will beat cotto but he can make a respectable comeback to get another title if matched up well and if guided correctly, im not hyping him because im not necessarily a fanatical fan.

Im just speaking the facts, I still think he beats paulie, and diaz who are both two very good and respectable world class fighters, hatton is better and has proven himself to be better than both based on competition and ability, so what does that make hatton?

No matter how much you type Hatton has always been an overrated fighter, and was nowhere near competing with Pac. If the best he can say is "I hurt him twice..." Manny knocked him down twice and then put his ass to sleep, you and him are completely delusional. He got lucky there wasn't permanent damage in the Paq fight, if he were to step in there with Cotto after two very embarrassing KO losses he's risking long term damage. Also, I don't see why Cotto shouldn't take the fight, it'd be a nice tune up and a decent paycheck to boot.
