You sound just like someone who goes along with the consensus and doesn't really know boxing, I didn't say that he was competing equally I said he was not being completely dominated there is a difference, many fighters have come back from devastating kos hearns, duran, jones twice, taylor twice and he may make it 3, vargas, norris, and the list goes on.

They may have not been the same after returning from those ko losses but they all made respectable comebacks and won titles in many cases, im not saying he will beat cotto but he can make a respectable comeback to get another title if matched up well and if guided correctly, im not hyping him because im not necessarily a fanatical fan.

Im just speaking the facts, I still think he beats paulie, and diaz who are both two very good and respectable world class fighters, hatton is better and has proven himself to be better than both based on competition and ability, so what does that make hatton?

Yes, guys do come back from KO losses, Hatton would need to do it a second time, and the way he lost both those fights can only spell disaster. He looked like crap against Paulie, he didn't dominate him like people think he did, he looked like garbage. He damn near got KO'd by Lazcano and then gets decimated by Pacman. Mayweather outclassed him Manny just killed any credibility he has as a fighter. The sheer fact that he thinks he gets a shot at Cotto is because he knows he'll need the money from that fight, but he won't get it. There are so many other options out there for Cotto, Hatton has no chance of getting that fight, especially if Cotto happens to win. Add to that, the only top tier fighter Hatton ever beat was an over the hill Tszyu.

i dunno man i think i could give you a run for your money on the biggest hatton fan...but i do agree that he shouldnt go anywhere near cotto maybe take a shot at juan diaz (if he beats paulie) or go after jmm...have one more fight back in manchester for your hometown fans then retire...he's had an amazing career i would hate to see it get any more tarnished by him stayin in the ring too long

I agree. Juan Diaz would be the perfect fight for Hatton right now. Juan is a known boxer who can't really hurt Ricky. If Hatton can go through Diaz, maybe then he would be ready for a top fighter.

This is exactly why he will be more likely to be offered a big money fight.

Sad as it is Hatton actually increased his chances of getting a Cotto type fight by getting himself KTFO by Pac. Now everyone knows he is damaged goods and if anyone wants an easy win over a big name all they have to do is dial up Ricky Hatton. As long as you pay him good money he will be happy to fly over here with his band of ******s and get his faced smashed in by a superior fighter.
